Prayer GuildEdit This Entity
|North-west of Barbarian Village||31 Prayer||No|
To find the Prayer Guild, simply walk out of Barbarian Village through the west gate, and head north.
Anyone with a level of 31 Prayer or above can enter the second floor of the Monastery, west of Edgeville. Inside is an altar that, when prayed at, will give an extra two prayer points. Also, players will be able to get their holy symbols enchanted by Brother Jered. (Note: the Prayer Book of Saradomin allows players to enchant their own Holy Symbols.) There is also a monk robe spawn which, when worn, gives a +11 prayer bonus. To get in, speak to Father Lawrence once you have obtained 31 Prayer.
Abbot Langley resides in the eastern wing of the Monastery, although he has been known to wander outside. There are four monks downstairs that live in the Monastery. The monks heal themselves regularly when you fight them, so they are decent for training from level 20 to 30 combat. There are also four fountains, which you can use to fill a bucket, jug, or vial, if you need to. To gain entrance to the second floor, speak to Abbot Langley once you attain 31 Prayer. Brother Althric has recently moved in and has been growing roses in the garden. The queen wants some of these for her garden in the Garden of Tranquility quest.
There are another four monks up here, as well as a small Khazard scorpion. This scorpion must be caught in a scorpion cage and brought to Thormac the Sorcerer as part of the Scorpion Catcher quest. There are also two spawn points, clearly visible on the map. One is the top of a monk's robe and the other is the bottom.
They spawn every 30 to 40 seconds, depending on how full the server is. The top gives a +6 prayer bonus, and the bottom gives a +5 prayer bonus. There is also a person called Brother Jered, who can enchant a Holy Symbol of Saradomin for you; and players with 99 Prayer may buy the Prayer Cape of Accomplishment from him. The altar has been blessed by Saradomin to give you an extra two prayer points when you recharge there.
