The methods for using Brawling gloves described in this guide take place in PvP Hot Zones, located in the Wilderness. You must have a Combat level of 20 without the aid of Summoning to enter a PvP World. Other requirements are based on the specific Brawling gloves.

Entering a PvP or BH world will result in an automatic skull. Moreover, you are also unable to use the Protect item prayer, resulting in the loss of your brawling gloves and any other item you may have. Many methods in this guide take place in the Wilderness: You should only enter at your own risk.

1.0 - Introduction

A great side aspect of PvP worlds has been the drop system. Every time you kill someone, you will receive random item(s). The value of this item is dependent upon several factors: time you have spent in a danger zone, the value of everything you are carrying, along with the total value of your opponent's items. The bare minimum requirements for valuable items is to spend at least 30 minutes outside of safe zones, to have 75k or more worth of gear on a Member's world, or 25k on a free world. A great way to raise your drop potential (DP) is to go raise a skill such as Slayer, and then go and try to get a kill and a drop. Keep in mind that your 30 minutes do not have to be obtained in one go. You are allowed to bank or log out; the system will start counting again when you are back in a danger zone.

Brawling gloves are a special drop from PvP worlds. These gloves temporarily increase the experience you earn while training in a PvP world. You will receive a +50% bonus to any XP you would earn in that particular skill. If you use them in the Wilderness on a PvP world, you will receive even more - a bonus of +300% experience, quadrupling the amount you would normally receive. These gloves will only give a bonus in PvP Worlds, and can be obtained by killing other players. Brawling gloves will last for a certain number of uses for each glove - it is not a time, as JaGex claims.

2.0 - Skill Gloves

Although you may use your Brawling gloves however you want and get a lot of experience, here are a few methods which will give you the most experience. If a certain method is incorrect, or you have a better method in mind, please don't hesitate to send in a correction.

2.1 - Agility

Method 1
LocationInformation
LocationWilderness Agility Course
Requirements52 Agility
Total Experience750,000 Experience
ItemsBrawling gloves (agility), Food, 1 Prayer potion
How To
The best way to use your Agility brawling gloves is at the Wilderness Agility Course at level 50 Wilderness. Although the Wilderness is a hot zone and an excellent place to gain earning potential, you must be careful of the many PKers and clans which you may encounter.
As far as the actual agility course goes: You can earn the most experience by going throughout the entire course until you reach the climbing hill, equipping your Brawling gloves, and climbing the wall. Not only does this tactic ensure that your gloves last much longer, but it will also grant you the maximum possible experience.
Method 2

Information
LocationDorgesh-Kaan Course
Requirements70 or 80+ Agility highly recommended.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (agility), some food, teleport tablet, ring of life.
How To
This is an alternative to the Wilderness agility course for those who want a smaller chance of getting PKed. Keep in mind that no matter where you are, there is at least some chance of getting killed. Moreover, you will be getting a lot less experience in the Dorgesh-Kaan course as it is not a hotzone.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (cooking)
2.2 - Cooking

Method 1
LocationInformation
LocationBandit Camp (Wilderness)
Requirements78 Magic, 40+ Cooking recommended, Desert Treasure quest completed.
Total Experience480,000 to 840,000 experience.
ItemsBrawling gloves (cooking), raw fish, Fire runes, Air runes (may use a preferred staff), Law runes, multiple Amulet of glories (suggested).
How To
This method is easily the best in terms of experience as it takes place within the Wilderness. Use Dareeyak teleport from the Ancient spellbook (78 Magic required) to teleport to the Ruins. Head straight to the Bandit camp and into the room with the range and cook your fish. When you are done, teleport to Edgeville with your Amulet of glory and repeat the process. You may realise that Dareeyak teleport or a Amulet of glory may not be a definite requirement, but they do make things much faster.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationRogues' Den
RequirementsNone. 40+ Cooking recommended
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (cooking), raw fish, teleport tablet
How To
The Rogues' Den is located under the Toad and Chicken pub in Burthorpe. Simply locate the bar and you will see a trapdoor behind the bar of the pub. Go down this trapdoor, walk through the first door, and you are in the main/safe area. Here, there is a fire which will always be there, and is close to a bank (provided by Emerald Benedict). Simply withdraw your fish from the bank and cook it. Since this is not in the Wilderness, you will only gain 50% bonus experience. However, this is much safer than the first method as fewer PKers tend to come here.

Method 3

LocationInformation
Zybez Runescape Help's Map
LocationAnywhere in the Wilderness; near the Wilderness Volcano bank would work well.
Requirements65 Magic, Lunar Diplomacy, high Cooking level, 95+ is best
Total Experience960,000XP with Summer pies, 840,000XP with Admiral pies
ItemsBrawling gloves (cooking), 26 (or more) Astral runes, Steam battlestaff, raw pies.
How To
Cast the Bake pie spell from the Lunar spellbook anywhere in the Wilderness using any pie, preferably the cheaper ones like redberry pies to minimize cost. Using this method near the Wilderness Volcano, or Edgeville would make banking easier, and therefore minimalize time.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (firemaking)
LocationInformation
LocationWilderness, north of Edgeville
RequirementsNone. 60-75+ Firemaking level strongly recommended
Total Experience1,400,000 experience (with Magic logs)
ItemsBrawling gloves (fm), Logs, Tinderbox, teleport tablet.
How To
Bank in Edgeville for logs and run straight north, over the ditch and into the Wilderness. Once there, start burning your logs. Keep in mind that the possibility of getting attacked here is very high, so stay alert and be ready to teleport at any time!

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (fishing)
2.4 - Fishing

LocationInformation
LocationWilderness, north east of Clan wars.
RequirementsLevel 35 or higher. 40+ strongly recommended.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (fishing), Lobster cage OR Harpoon
How To
Run to level 36 Wilderness to the fishing spot north east of clan wars. The most experience is received when fishing Lobsters, but it is also possible to fish for Tuna, Swordfish, and Sharks. As the possibilities of a clan at this level of the wilderness is great, it is not recommended that you bring any items over 76k. However, if you do plan on risking, keep a lookout for any white dots on the mini map, and be prepared to log out at any moment.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (hunter)
2.5 - Hunter

LocationInformation
LocationWilderness, north of Hill giants; southwest of Green dragons.
Requirements67+ Hunter highly recommended
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (hunter), Game necklace, 10 ropes, 10 small fishing nets.
How To
Head north of the Hill giants and west of Green dragons to where there are multiple Black salamanders. Set traps up on the trees and hunt away. Release the Black salamanders as you catch them. Be on the lookout for any white dots, as this area is multi-combat and is located higher than level 20 wilderness, so only using special teleports like the Amulet of glory will work. Teams tend to PK around this area a lot.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (mining)
2.6 - Mining

LocationInformation
LocationHobgoblin Mine, level 35 Wilderness.
Requirements15 Mining, 30+ recommended.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (mining), Pickaxe, food.
How To
The easiest way to get to the Hobgoblin mine is to use the Dareeyak teleport spell (Ancient magicks) to teleport to the Ruins in the Wilderness. From there, run north until you come across the Hobgoblin Mine. Once you are there, the hobgoblins will constantly attack you, but your mining will not be interrupted. Keep in mind that although Hobgoblins may attack you, player versus player combat has priority over player versus monster. This means that a PKer could easily attack you even when you are already being attacked by the Hobgoblin.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (smithing)
2.7 - Smithing

Method 1

LocationInformation
LocationThe Ruins in the Wilderness.
RequirementsPreferably 68+ Smithing.
Total Experience434,000 experience (Mithril platebodies), 572,500 experience (Adamant platebodies).
ItemsBrawling gloves (smithing), Hammer, food.
How To
Travel to the Ruins from either Edgeville or the Wilderness Volcano, or use the Dareeyak teleport, requiring level 78, from the Ancient spellbook to get to the Ruins. Next, travel to the room with the anvil, and smith the best platebody that you can, teleport away, and repeat the process.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationAnvil west of Mage Bank.
Requirements78 Magic. Preferably 68+ Smithing.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (smithing), Hammer.
How To
Once again, make the best platebodies you can. Run back to the lever and bank. There are many more people that PK here, and you can get attacked by a large amount. Also, if you're teleblocked, you'll have to wait it out.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (thieving)
2.8 - Thieving

LocationInformation
LocationPyramid Plunder
RequirementsLevel 21 Thieving required, 51+ recommended. Icthlarin's Little Helper started.
Total Experience100,000 - 480,000 experience. (Depends a lot on your level.)
ItemsBrawling gloves (thieving), 3 Super antipoisons, teleport tablet, and the rest of your inventory food (Sharks or better).
How To
Take the carpet from the Shanty Pass to Pollnivneach then proceed to walk to Sophanem from there or take a second carpet located at the east side of Pollnivneach to Sophanem. Another method is using the Pharaoh's sceptre to teleport directly there on a non-PvP world. It is not recommended to do this on a PvP world as the Sceptre is around 800k, and almost everything protects over it. When using the Brawlers, it is recommended to leave them in your inventory until you get to the best room that you can do, where you can then equip them and loot the urns.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (wc)

Method 1

LocationInformation
LocationWilderness, the Ruins.
Requirements15 Woodcutting
Total Experience108,450 experience
ItemsBrawling gloves (wc), hatchet.
How To
An effective way to use these gloves is to chop Oak trees in Wilderness, north of Edgeville. You can get 150 XP per log with only brawling gloves. Using a Sacred clay hatchet will double your experience to 300 experience per log, but will also degrade your brawling gloves twice as fast, speeding things up to twice the normal speed.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationWilderness North of Edgeville
Requirements82 Woodcutting, Spirit of Summer done. Preferably Desert Treasure done.
Total Experience732,000 experience*
ItemsBrawling gloves (wc), hatchet, Amulet of glory, Jennica's ring.
How To
Use the Dareeyak Teleport (level 78 ancient magicks spell) to get to the magic tree, or alternatively, you may also run from the Wilderness volcano or from Edgeville to get there. Wear your Brawling gloves for the Magic tree that’s in the wilderness. When you cut it down, take your gloves off and use Jennica's ring while standing on the portal to go to the Spirit World. Chop down the Cursed magic tree there, and afterward, go back into the Wilderness through the portal and re-equip your brawling gloves. If you get attacked and want to keep your logs, use Jennica's ring to get into the spirit world. You can also use the Tool leprechaun's teleport, provided you do not have a familiar summoned.

*This does not include the experience gained from the Cursed magic tree.
3.0 - Combat Gloves

Although you may use your brawling gloves however you want, and get a lot of experience, here are a few methods which will give you the most experience. If a certain method is incorrect, or you have a better method in mind, please don't hesitate to send in a correction.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (melee)
3.1 - Melee

Method 1

LocationInformation
LocationLesser demons in level 42 Wilderness next to King Black Dragon entrance
RequirementsStrong defence and high combat level
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (melee), good amour you wouldn't mind losing, good food.
How To
Log onto a Bounty Hunter world +1 item. You want to log onto a +1 item so incase you die, you will keep one of your valued items. Get your food and amour and head off to level 42 Wilderness. There will be a few Lesser demons there. Be very alert of other players.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationBlack demons in Edgeville Dungeon
RequirementsStrong defence and respectable combat level.
Total Experience
ItemsBrawling gloves (melee), good prayer armour, Prayer potions.
How To
Pray melee, your best strength prayer, and kill the Black demons. The advantage to this is you can tab instantly if you see someone. But you don't have the protection of a gate or a stalagmite usually, which could be deadly. It will probably be a good 40 seconds before you get to the Skeletons to get away. Overall, Lesser demons are preferable over this method.

Method 3

LocationInformation
LocationFire giants in the dungeon west of the Mage Arena bank
RequirementsStrong defence and respectable combat level.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (melee), good armour, food.
How To
Run west from the Mage Arena bank to travel there, and once you are there, use your best Strength-boosting prayer and use Protect from Melee if you wish. Not many people seem to come here. However, if a team does, you could get killed pretty easily. This is the best and fastest exp, but it's also the least safe. When you are done, hop worlds to a non-PvP to safely escape.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (magic)
3.2 - Magic

Method 1

LocationInformation
LocationEdgeville Wilderness, just above the ditch
Requirements55 Magic
Total Experience207,220 experience
ItemsBrawling gloves (magic), Staff of fire, Nature runes, noted items to alch (Yew longbows, Magic longbows, etc.), food.
How To
Log into a Bounty Hunter world and withdraw supplies for 150 casts of High Level alchemy, or however many you feel like risking. Jump across the ditch into level 1 wilderness and start casting there. If attacked, jump across the ditch. If the player killer follows you across the ditch, simply keep jumping back and forth until the 10 seconds have passed.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationZamorak monks in the west of the Wilderness, in a Bounty Hunter +1 item world
Requirements80 Magic
Total Experience300,000 experience
ItemsBrawling gloves (magic)Magic attack-reducing equipment (Rune platebody, Rune platelegs, Mud battlestaff, Sacred clay helm, Granite shield, Snakeskin boots recommended), 500 Soul runes, 120 Blood runes, 120 Air runes, 120 Fire runes.
How To
Before you begin, make sure your equipment gives a very large negative magic attack bonus to maximize efficiency. Log into a Bounty Hunter +1 world. Withdraw all the supplies, Head to the Zamorak monks in the west of the Wilderness. Find a Zamorak monk and cast stun on it on your way back to the spot. Now get it by the ditch and stun away.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (prayer)
3.3 - Prayer

Method 1

LocationInformation
LocationPlayer-owned house
Requirements75 Construction
Total Experience 481,950 experience (with Dragon bones
ItemsBrawling gloves (prayer), Dragon bones, Tinderbox
How To
You can use Dragon bones on a Gilded altar with both Incense burners lit. Players can put a portal to Lumbridge in their house, then they won't have to step into a dangerous zone whilst banking. If you do not have 75 Construction, it is also possible to find a friend with a gilded altar and use it. It isn't recommended to use a stranger's house, however, as they might decide to kill you rather than help you.

Method 2

LocationInformation
LocationEctofunctus, near Port Phasmatys
RequirementsPriest in Peril. Ghosts Ahoy highly recommended.
Total Experience550,800 experience (with Dragon bones)
ItemsBrawling gloves (prayer), equal number of Pots, Buckets, and Bones. Amulet of glory, and Ectophial highly recommended.
How To
Grind the bones on the top floor or the Ectofuntus, then fill the buckets with slime from the bottom floor. Worship at the Ectofuntus, and repeat. A beast of burden would be really helpful here, and banking at Edgeville with an Amulet of glory would speed the process up. Alternatively, wear a Ghostspeak amulet and bank in Port Phasmatys. If you prefer, grind all the bones and gather the slime in a non-PvP world first to reduce the chance of being PKed.

Zybez RuneScape Help's image of a Brawling gloves (Ranged)
3.4 - Ranged

LocationInformation
LocationFire giants in the dungeon west of the Mage Arena bank
Requirements60+ Ranged, 68 Summoning, 70 Defence strongly recommended.
Total Experience??
ItemsBrawling gloves (ranged), Rune full helm, Rune platelegs, Rune kiteshield, Dragonhide top, Avas accumulator, Rune crossbow, Climbing boots, 300 Broad bolts, Bunyip pouch, 4 Ranging potions, 8 Prayer potions, 4 sharks.
How To
Go to the spot while still in a safe world and log out right before the doors. Switch to a PvP world and go through the doors. In the beginning, the giants will be aggressive and you will have to tank them out, but after a while you will be able to trap them on the edges of the lava pool. Keep an eye on the stairs for player killers, and log out if you see one.
4.0 - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long do brawling gloves last?

A: All brawling gloves last for a different amount of time. They don't depend on the time they are used, but on the amount of resources gathered with them, or the amount of experience gained with them.

Q: What is best to bring for an item above 76k?

A: The most important thing is to be something that you would not mind losing, because chances are you will die eventually. The easiest thing to do is to just bring 76k, but items also work. If you have junk in your bank that wont sell, or useless 76k loot, those work very well as they would just sit in your bank, taking up space otherwise.
