After completion of the In Pyre Need quest and if you have level 51 Slayer, you may return to the phoenix's lair once a day. However the cave layouts are random. The warriors in the caves are very strong aggressive monsters that can block your path. In many situations, you'll have to kill them in order to gather the twigs you need and they often drop gold (in excess of 1000) or charms. Once you have all the twigs, fletch them into ribbons again and use them on the pyre again. The phoenix will appear in a multicombat area. It's Level-235 and attacks with Magic. It can easily hit 200s so you'll want to bring prayer restore potions to use the Protect from Magic Prayer against it. Once you've defeated it, it will enter the pyre where you can set it aflame. You'll receive 5 quills, 500 Slayer XP, 7,500 Firemaking XP, 1,000 Crafting XP, and 3,000 Fletching XP.
