1.0 - Introduction
The Capes of Accomplishment were designed so that not just any ordinary player could obtain one of these capes. In order to be able to attain and equip this special cape, you must have achieved level 99 in a skill and must be a RuneScape member. Each skill has its own cape, with its own design and animation. Along with the cape, you are also given a matching hood, and are given access to the skill cape emote. There are also special trimmed capes available for those who have level 99 in two or more skills which give a +4 Prayer bonus. The skillcape and hood only weigh 0.9kg combined, so as suggested, you can travel light and still propose a class of style.
When you reach level 99 in a skill, you may notice a message in a little pop-up informing you that you are eligible to purchase a Cape of Accomplishment. In order to obtain the cape, you have to seek out the skill's specific master, who will sell you it for 99,000gp.
As well, when you click to "Operate" the cape, it will also boost the skill of the cape you are wearing by one level. So when you do so, you will have level 100 in that skill for a short period of time.

A: Yes, all the emotes can be performed in F2P as long as you had the appropriate cape equipped when you logged out of members.
Q: It says I can only have 1 cape at a time, what if I want a place-holder?
A: As of October 20, 2009, you can now purchase multiple skills capes.
Q: When I get my second 99, how do I get my cape trimmed?
A: It is automatically trimmed when you get 99 in another skill. Please note that Quest cape will not be counted as an "official" skill cape, and will not be trimmed or trim another cape.
