Upon completion of the Making History quest, you have the ability to go treasure hunting with your enchanted key. Treasure Hunting is an adventure that will take you across many of the lands of RuneScape and unearth many rewards, including staves once belonging to RuneScape's Gods: Guthix, Saradomin and Zamorak.

To be able to go treasure hunting, you must have completed Making History. The following items will aid you in unearthing and locating the treasures easily and quickly.
- A spade - Used for digging up the treasures.
- The Enchanted Key - Reward from the Making History quest, needed to find the treasures.
- Boots of Lightness and Spotted or Spottier cape (optional) - Allows you to run longer.
- Teleport runes and jewellery (highly recommended) - Used for teleporting close to the places where the treasures are buried.
Completion of the Meeting History quest is recommended as you unlock 11 more locations to search for buried treasure.
When you feel the Enchanted Key, you will be informed of it's temperature. There are six possible temperatures:
- Freezing - You are very far away from the treasure.
- Cold - The treasure is far away.
- Warm - You're getting close to the treasure.
- Very hot - You're close to the treasure.
- Burning hot - You're really close to the treasure.
- Steaming - Dig! The treasure is buried right beneath your feet!
Every time you feel the key, you'll get a message of it's temperature. It'll also say if the key is getting warmer or colder. When you start searching for a treasure, feel the key, walk a couple of steps north and feel again. If the key is getting warmer, you know the treasure is buried in the North direction of you. Now walk a couple steps to the east and feel again, if the key is getting warmer, the treasure is buried somewhere in the East direction. This way, you can make a raw estimation of where the treasure is buried. Now if the key is cold or freezing, teleport to a city in the direction the key was getting warmer in. Feel the key again. If the key indicates it's warm or hotter, you're in the right direction. Now feel the key to know which direction you have to walk. Walk to the direction the key is getting warmer in, make sure it keeps getting warmer and warmer. If the key is burning hot, the treasure is very close. When it's steaming, use your spade to dig up the treasure.
There are 22 locations in all where the treasure may be buried. The first 11 are unlocked upon completion of Making History and the other 11 are unlocked after Meeting History.
These are the first 11 locations, upon completion of Making History. After you've searched all the locations and found all the treasures, your Enchanted key will melt and you won't be able to get a new one.

A: Mjolnirs are god spears. They are two handed weapons with +11 crush attack bonus and a +14 strength bonus. They aren't really good weapons and are more for the look. There are three Mjolnirs, one for each god, each Mjolnir having the symbol of the corresponding God on it. The Mjolnirs are tradable.
