Shilo VillageEdit This Entity
Shilo Village is located in the southern portion of Karamja island. It is a members only territory and you need to have finished the Shilo Village quest to gain admittance. It is great for mining gems, used in the Legends Quest, and the bank can be used when crafting nature runes. It is also the home to one of the most experienced and powerful slayer master, Duradel.
One of the most powerful Slayer Masters has made this village his home. Climb the ladder of the fishing store, and walk across the bamboo bridge to speak to Duradel. He will not feel you are worthy of him until you have level 50 Slayer, and level 100 combat in order to be able to take assignments from him.
This is a good mine if you are looking for a little crafting experience. These rocks contain; sapphires, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, red topaz, jade, and opals. The gems mined here can be chiselled once to be cut, than again to get bolt tips to attach to bolts. There are seven rocks in this mine.
This mine here you can get some iron, silver, gold, mithril, and adamant ore. It is not that productive because of the distance from a bank.
You will find this just north-west of Shilo Village, used for crafting nature runes. Many people run back and forth between the Jungle Store, and the nature altar with noted essence. They sell the noted essence to the Jungle Store, than buy it back un-noted, walking back to runecraft them.
In Shilo Village there are many, many fishing spots. You can bait or lure the fish. There is a bank very close to the south in the village. There are also 2 fishing spots north of Shilo Village with the same fish. This location is excellent for power fishers.
The Diary of Achievement is a series of tasks assigned by people around the island of Karamja. The tasks are completed for rewards, such as gloves. Shilo Village is where Kaleb Paramaya resides, who will reward you for the Medium tasks. To get the rewards for the Hard tasks, you can go to the jungle foresters to claim the final pair of gloves.
For those who wish to trap Horned Graahks for the furs to make horned graahk clothing, you need level 38 hunter. Just take a knife, axe, and some logs to set up the pitfall traps.
- One Small Favour: Speak to Yanni Salika in the pear-shaped house north of the Shilo Village bank.
- Shilo Village: Talk to Mosol Rei. He is just outside the entrance to the Shilo Village.
There are a few training spots in Southern Karamja that can be very useful. There are some Jogres, Tribesmen and jungle spiders near the gnome glider on the western side of the river. Though the Tribesmen can poison you, you just need to make sure you have an anti-poison potion, and you'll be fine. As a last note, there are a lot of Jogres and Tribesmen all over the island. Explore a few places and find a spot for you to train.
