Edgeville is a very popular town among many players. Non-members often come here to cut yews. The wilderness, just north of Edgeville, is home to the Mage of Zamorak, who teleports you to The Abyss, where you can fight Abyssal creatures. You can also go through dimensional rifts, to various Runecrafting altars.

The Edgeville Dungeon offers many training opportunities for low to mid-level players, being home to low-level Skeletons, Ghosts, Hill giants, and Hobgoblins. Vannaka, the Slayer master, can be found near the entrance to the underground Wilderness area. There is also a shortcut through this dungeon to the depths of the Varrock Sewers which requires level 51 Agility to use.

The Monastery (Prayer Guild) can be found west of Edgeville. To be eligible to enter the upstairs floor of the Prayer Guild, level 31 Prayer is required. For further information, view the Prayer Guild guide. One thing about the Monastery is the altar upstairs; when you recharge your Prayer points with this altar, you get two extra boosted points.

The entrance to The Abyss is found just north of Edgeville, in around level 4-6 wilderness, by the end of the River Lum. To be able to enter, you must do a task for the Mage of Zamorak (who asks you to speak with him in Varrock south-east initially). After you have completed his task, you are able to right-click the Mage of Zamorak, and choose the 'Teleport' option. Inside The Abyss are Abyssal creatures, and access to inter-dimensional rifts, that take you to their respective Runecrafting altars. In the center, the Dark Mage can repair your pouches that may get damaged whilst Runecrafting, or you can ask for another book.

There are three options you can utilize to teleport to Edgeville; all being members only. The first option is by rubbing a charged glory amulet, and choosing the 'Edgeville' option. The second option is by using the Ancient Magicks Paddewwa Teleport, which takes you inside Edgeville dungeon. The third option is by using the Spirit trees , the tree stands in the Grand exchange. At the west side of the wall you can crawl underneath the wall and then run the short distance west.

Canoes are a new transportation style which are available to free players. One can canoe from Edgeville all the way down the Lum river to Lumbridge, or with the Waka canoe, they can canoe into level 35 wilderness. As well as being able to access the town with the Canoe System and Amulet of glory teleports, players can also travel to Edgeville with the Fairy Rings by dialling the code: D-K-R. To access the Fairy Rings, you must have progressed far enough in the Fairy Tale Part II, A quest. Completing Fairy Tale Part III, A allows you to use these without the need for a Dramen staff or Lunar staff.
