MeiyerditchEdit This Entity

Meiyerditch is a city which not many would wish to go to. It's main use currently is for the Darkness of Hallowvale quest where you must navigate the run down buildings to find if there are any Myreque there; and if so, find where their base is, to help them resist against the vampyres.

Once you have completed the quest, you will gain a shortcut key which allows you quicker access from the south part of the city to the north. There will likely be more expansion to this city as we get closer and closer to the Draken vampire home.

Special Attractions
The Vyrewatch

If they take interest to you, they will stop you and ask what you would like to have happen to you. You can either have them take a blood tythe (let them take 6 hp from you), challenge them to a fight, or try to distract them so you can escape. The higher your thieving level, the better chance you have of escaping them. Once you have found the Myreque in the Darkness Of Hallowvale, the option to fight them will be replaced by an option to go work for them in the mines. If you fail at distracting them and escaping, they will take 6 hp from you, and then leave you alone.

The Mine

If you ask a Vyrewatch to, you will be sent to the mines. In the mines, you will see slaves hitting picks against the rocks, mining some kind of strange ores. Talk to a Juvinate guard (level 54) and ask what to do. She will say that you may leave once you have filled the mine cart with ores. Talk to a Meiyerditch Miner to get a bronze pickaxe. Go and mine the Daeyalt Rocks to get Daeyalt ores; each rock contains 3 ores per spawn.

Once you have 15 ores, use them with the cart to load it up, then talk to a Juvinate guard to leave the mines. You will leave the mines at the northern central part of town. Each ore gives 17.5 xp, but they currently have no use.

Trader Sven

Trader Sven will sell Vyrewatch and Meiyerditch citizen clothes, he can be found in a house just north of the gap in the wall where you enter the city. The Vyrewatch outfits you can buy from him offer some protection from the Vyrewatch, making you less likely to be spotted and consequently blood tithed less often.

Furnace

During the Legacy of Seergaze quest players construct a furnace in the most north-western corner of Meiyerditch. Although too far out of reach to be helpful for Smithing, the furnace can be useful whilst doing quests in the city. This furnace does not have a symbol on the map, or on the mini-map.

Meiyerditch Laboratory

Although excavated during Darkness Of Hallowvale quest, the dungeon is only accessible after completion of Legacy of Seergaze. The dungeon contains the entrance to the Blood altar but also hosts Zombie hands and Mutated Bloodvelds, both related to the normal Slayer monsters, requiring the same Slayer level to kill. The unique monsters in the dungeon are high level and offer a good alternative for high level players whilst training, compared to their low level cousins.

Blood Altar

Meiyerditch contains the elusive Blood Altar within it's laboratory dungeon, which is revealed during Legacy of Seergaze. Reaching the altar is very slow and monsters in the cavern make it even more difficult whilst running. It is better to use the Abyss to reach the altar, for more information see our Runecrafting guide.
