In order to start this Achievement Diary, you must speak to Explorer Jack in Lumbridge (near the general store) (Picture).

1.0 - Beginner Tasks
Map Task Requirement Strategy Complete
Climb to the highest point in Lumbridge. None Go to Lumbridge Castle and climb up the staircases to the bank. Then climb up the ladder located north of the bank; this will take you to the roof of the castle.
Raise the flag on the roof of the Lumbridge bank. None Go to Lumbridge Castle and climb up the staircases to the bank. Then climb up the ladder located north of the bank; this will take you to the roof. Now, raise the flag located on the roof.
Speak to Horacio, the Duke of Lumbridge. None Go to Lumbridge Castle and climb up the staircase to the first floor. Walk down the corridor and into Duke Horacio's bedroom; speak to him.
Speak with the Doomsayer about the Warning System. None Speak to the Doomsayer who is located northeast of Lumbridge Castle, next to the Lumbridge Guide.
Talk to the Lumbridge Sage. None The Lumbridge Sage can be found just to the northeast of Lumbridge Castle, beside a small house. Speak to him and find out more about the Stronghold of Security.
Browse the Lumbridge general store. None The Lumbridge general store can be found to the north of the Lumbridge Castle. Head into the store and speak to the shopkeeper. Ask to see what he has for trade.
Visit Fred the Farmer's chicken and sheep farm. None Follow the road north out of Lumbridge, past the general store. Fred the Farmer's farm will be on your way north. When you reach the farm building walk into the house.
Mine some clay in the Mining spot, north of the Champions' Guild. None Head east out of Lumbridge and cross the bridge. Follow the road north until you reach a T-junction. Head west along the road until you reach the entrance to the city of Varrock. From here, head directly west to reach the Mining spot. Prospect the rocks to find the clay ore vein and then use your pickaxe on it.
Make some soft clay in the Draynor Village potter's house. None Use a bucket, jug or bowl with any sink to fill it with water. Take the road northwest out of Lumbridge. Soon you will reach Draynor Village. In the village, use the bucket of water with some clay you have mined to make soft clay.
Make a pot on the potter's wheel in Draynor Village. None Take the road northwest out of Lumbridge. Soon you will reach Draynor Village. The potter's house is in the southern area of the village. Use some soft clay with the potter's wheel to make a pot.
Fire a pot in the pottery oven in the potter's house of Draynor Village None Enter the potter's house in Draynor Village. Use your unfired pot with the kiln in the potter's house to finish Crafting a pot. Save this pot for later.
Enter the courtyard of the spooky mansion in Draynor Village. None Follow the road north out of Lumbridge, past the chicken farm and wheat fields until you reach the crossroads. At the crossroads, head north through the dead woods until you reach Draynor Manor. Walk through the gates to enter the courtyard.
Grind some flour in the windmill north of Lumbridge. None Follow the road north out of Lumbridge, past the general store and past Fred's chicken and sheep farm until you reach a junction with a wheat field. Enter the windmill to the north. Climb the ladders to the very top of the windmill and put some grain into the hopper. Operate the hopper controls to grind the grain and climb back down to remove your flour with the pot you made earlier from the bin below.
Visit the Draynor Village market. None Follow the road north, out of Lumbridge. Pass the general store, Fred's sheep and chicken farm and the wheat fields until you reach a crossroads. At the crossroads, head south into Draynor Village and west when you reach the bank. There you will find the Draynor Market.
Find out about the Rules of Conduct from the Draynor Village Town Crier. None Follow the road north, out of Lumbridge. Pass the general store, Fred's sheep and chicken farm and the wheat fields until you reach a crossroad. At the crossroads, head south into Draynor Village and west when you reach the bank. The town crier can be found in the marketplace.
Climb to the top of the Wizards' Tower. None Follow the road north, out of Lumbridge, until you reach the general store. At the general store, take the road west (it should become a dirt path) until you reach a road with a bridge to the south. Cross the bridge and enter the tower. Use the ladders to climb to the top of the Wizards' Tower.
Mine some copper in the Mining spot to the south-east of Lumbridge Swamp. None Follow the road south, out of Lumbridge. Keep following the road south through the graveyard and past the Fishing Tutor to the east, until you reach the Mining spot. Prospect the rocks to discover which rock vein holds copper and then mine the rock to gain some copper ore.
Catch some shrimp in the Fishing spot to the east of Lumbridge Swamp. None Follow the road south, out of Lumbridge, past Bob's Axes shop and through the graveyard. Keep following the road until you see the Fishing Tutor to the east. Take one of the small nets beside the basket of fish and click on one of the Fishing spots in the water to begin fishing.
Sell a raw shrimp to the Lumbridge Fishing Shop. None Go to the Fishing Shop north of Lumbridge Castle and sell a raw shrimp.
Look through Father Aereck's selection of gravestones. Restless Ghost, The Make your way to the Lumbridge church. This is found to the east of the castle and just south of the bridge. Speak to Father Aereck to view his selection of gravestones.

Play the organ in the Lumbridge Church. None The church can be found just to the east of the Lumbridge Castle. Enter the church through the double doors and play on the organ inside.
Ring the bell in the Lumbridge Church. None Enter the church to the east of the Lumbridge Castle. Inside, climb the ladder to reach the balcony on the first floor. Follow the balcony and climb the ladder at the end of it to reach the bell tower, and then ring the bell.
Pass through the Al Kharid gate. None Follow the road east out of Lumbridge and cross the bridge. Keep following the road eastwards until you reach the Al Kharid toll gate.
2.0 - Easy

Obtain a cowhide from a cow in the field north-east of Lumbridge. None Head northeast of the Lumbridge Castle until you reach a cow pen. Open the gate and kill a cow to obtain his cowhide
Have Ellis tan your cow-hide to make soft leather at his shop in Al Kharid. None Take the cowhide to Ellis' shop. Al Kharid is to the east of Lumbridge, through the toll gate and south along the path. Ellis' shop is in the north-west of the village, and he will demand a small fee for tanning.
Craft a pair of soft leather gloves. None Buy some needle and thread from the Al Kharid Crafting Store and use them on soft leather to create the gloves.
Mine some iron ore from the Al Kharid Mining spot. Level 15 Mining The Mining spot is located to the north of Al Kharid and to the east of Lumbridge.

Catch a pike in the river to the east of Lumbridge Castle. Level 25 Fishing Use a fishing rod and bait to catch a pike in the fishing spot in the river to the east of Lumbridge Castle.

Smelt a steel bar in the Lumbridge furnace. Level 30 Smithing To smelt steel, you will need to mine or buy 1 piece of iron ore and 2 pieces of coal ore. The furnace is at the north end of Lumbridge.

Search the shed in Lumbridge Swamp. None The shed can be found in the centre of the swamp, south of Lumbridge.
Kill a giant rat in Lumbridge Swamp. None Take some armour and a weapon to kill the giant rats. The swamp can be found to the south of Lumbridge.
Cut down a dead tree in Lumbridge Swamp. None Take an axe with you to the Lumbridge Swamp and cut down a dead tree.
Light a campfire from normal logs in Lumbridge Swamp. None Take a tinderbox and logs with you to Lumbridge Swamp and light a fire there.
Cook some rat meat on a campfire in Lumbridge Swamp. None Take a tinderbox, logs, and raw rat meat with you to Lumbridge Swamp. Light a fire there and cook the rat meat on the fire.
Craft a water rune at the Water Altar. Rune Mysteries; Level 5 Runecrafting Take 1 rune essence and a water talisman (or tiara) to the Water Altar and craft a water rune.

Get a replacement Ghostspeak Amulet from Father Urhney. Restless Ghost, The Father Urhney can be found in his small shack in Lumbridge Swamp. If you currently have an amulet of ghostspeak, you will need to drop it first. To obtain a replacement amulet, simply speak to him.

Taunt the demon at the top of the Wizards' Tower. None The demon can be found in a cage at the top of the Wizards' Tower. It is reasonably high level, but cannot attack you. Click on the railings to taunt him.
Have Sedridor teleport you to the Essence Mine. Rune Mysteries Sedridor can be found in the Wizards' Tower basement. Ask him to teleport you to the Essence Mine.

Access the bank in Draynor Village. None Speak to one of the bank tellers in Draynor Village bank, to the west of Lumbridge.
Have the Wise Old Man check your bank for unnecessary quest-related items. None The Wise Old Man can be found in his house in Draynor Village. Ask him to check your bank for unnecessary quest-related items.
Discover what the Wise Old Man is watching through his telescope None The telescope is on the second floor of the Wise Old Man's house.
Defeat a zombie in the sewers under the jail. None You will need armour and a weapon to fight the zombies. The jailhouse can be found just south-east of Draynor Village.
3.0 - Medium Tasks

Smith a steel longsword on the anvil in the jail sewers. Level 36 Smithing Take two steel bars, a hammer and head down the trapdoor of the jail that's east of Draynor Village. Navigate through the sewers and turn into the first room that you come to. Then smith your two steel bars into a steel longsword.

Use the Teleport to Lumbridge spell (Not the Home Teleport spell). Level 31 Magic Cast the teleport to Lumbridge spell.

Mine some coal in the Mining spot to the south-west of Lumbridge Swamp. Level 30 Mining Head southwest in the Lumbridge Swamp and mine some coal.

Cut down a willow tree to the east of Lumbridge Castle. Level 30 Woodcutting Go east of the Lumbridge Castle and cut down the willow tree that's by the Doomsayer and Lumbridge Guide.

Light a willow log fire on top of the Lumbridge Castle gatehouse. Level 30 Firemaking Go through the entrance of the Lumbridge Castle and open the door of the north or south tower. Climb up the ladder twice and burn a willow log at the top.

Cook a lobster on the range in the Lumbridge Castle kitchen. Level 40 Cooking Obtain a raw lobster by either buying it from the Grand Exchange or fishing it yourself. Cook it on the range in Lumbridge Castle.

Obtain an anti-dragonbreath shield from Duke Horacio. Dragon Slayer Speak to Duke Horacio on the second floor of Lumbridge Castle to obtain the anti-dragonbreath shield. If you already have one, drop it and then speak to him.

Mine some silver from the Mining patch north of Al Kharid. Level 20 Mining Go north of Al Kharid and mine some silver ore. While you're here, buy a holy mould from the Al Kharid crafting store.

Catch a salmon in the river to the east of Lumbridge Castle. Level 30 Fishing Take some feathers and a fly fishing rod to the river east of Lumbridge and catch a salmon.

Smelt a silver bar in the Lumbridge furnace. Level 20 Smithing Head off to the furnace in Lumbridge and use the silver ore you mined to create a silver bar.

Craft a holy symbol in the Lumbridge furnace. Level 16 Crafting With the holy mould in your inventory, use the silver bar on the furnace to create a holy symbol.

Get Beefy Bill to bank something for you. None Go to Fred's farm and head north until you reach a cow pen. Speak to Beefy Bill, and ask him if he could bank something for you. You will have to pay 10% commission in order to do this.
4.0 - Hard
Map Task Requirement Strategy Complete
Smith a mithril platebody on the anvil in the sewers beneath Draynor. Level 68 Smithing Bring 5 Mithril bars and a Hammer to Draynor Village. Go down the manhole (marked by a '!' on the minimap), find the anvil and make a Mithril platebody.

Create an amulet of strength from scratch, all within the town of Lumbridge (i.e. not below ground level). Level 40 Smithing, Level 50 Crafting, Level 49 Magic Bring a Gold ore, Uncut Ruby, Amulet mould, Shears, and runes for the Level-3 Enchant spell (1 Cosmic, 5 Fire runes). Cut the uncut gem into a cut ruby. Then use the Gold ore on the furnace in Lumbridge and choose to make a Gold bar. Afterwards, use Gold bar on the furnace and choose to make Ruby amulet. Then, go to the sheep pen and obtain some wool. Go to the Lumbridge castle second floor and make a Ball of wool. Finally, string using the Ball of wool for the unstrung amulet, and finally cast the spell on it to make an Amulet of strength.

Cook a chocolate cake from scratch in Lumbridge Castle's kitchen. Level 50 Cooking Obtain a Cake tin, Egg, Pot of flour, Bucket of milk, and Chocolate bar or Chocolate dust before you start. Head to the kitchen in Lumbridge castle, then use either the Egg, Pot of flour, or Bucket of milk on the Cake tin. Cook the uncooked cake on the kitchen's range, then finally use the chocolate on the Cake to complete it.

Cast Fire Blast at a training dummy in the Combat Academy in Lumbridge. Level 59 Magic Teleport to Lumbridge with runes for Fire blast in your inventory (3 Air and 3 Fire runes), then proceed to cast it on a melee training dummy with a weakness to fire.

Pray at Lumbridge Church altar with Mystic Might enabled. Level 45 Prayer Teleport to Lumbridge, activate your Mystic Might Prayer and pray at the church's altar.

Craft 100 or more water runes simultaneously. Level 57 Runecrafting* Go to the Water altar (located in Lumbridge swamp) with a Water tiara equipped and 28 pieces of Rune essence (or Pure essence) in your inventory, then craft the runes.

Burn some yew logs atop the east gatehouse of Lumbridge Castle. Level 60 Firemaking Take some Yew logs and enter the towers on the eastern side of the castle. Go up the ladders until you reach the top floor, then burn the logs with your Tinderbox.

* may be possible with a Runecrafting level of around 50; Using the explorer's ring's effects will not complete the task.

5.0 - Rewards

You get two items per completion of each set of tasks. The beginner tasks give the reward of a 500 xp lamp and Explorer's Ring (1). The beginner tasks also gives you a new explore emote, that you can show off to your friends. The easy tasks give a 1,000 xp lamp and Explorer's Ring (2). The medium tasks give a 1,500 xp lamp and Explorer's Ring (3). The rewards for the ring all build on the previous set. The rings can be obtained from Explorer Jack after the beginner, Bob after the easy and Ned in Draynor Village after the medium. They will be replaced free of charge, should you lose them.

  • Explorer's Ring 1 allows you to replenish your run energy by 50% once a day.
  • Explorer's Ring 2, in addition to Ring 1's abilities, it allows you to recharge your run energy by 50% twice a day, cast low alchemy 30 times (provided that you have level 21 Magic, and gives you a chance of getting extra Fire, Earth, Air, or Water runes when crafting them.
  • Explorer's Ring 3, in addition to Ring 2's abilities, allows you to recharge your run energy by 50% 3 times a day and lets you teleport to the cabbage fields south of Falador.
  • Explorer's Ring 4, in addition to Ring 3's abilities, allows you 27 superheat item casts per day, allows you 15 free high-level alchemy casts per day, 50% chance of not using runes when casting 'Bones to Bananas' 10 times per day.
