1.0 - Introduction
There are many items in RuneScape which can enhance your stats. These can often be used to complete tasks your skill level won't allow you, such as mining runite, or crossing an agility obstacle. They can also often be used to meet the requirements of a quest without having the actual required levels, although some quests do not allow this. (For specific details, see the Quest Guides.) If at any time you wish to restore your stats to their base levels, you can use a Restore potion.
Summoning
Since the release of the Summoning skill, there are now many ways to enhance your stats. As well as the special scrolls, many of the Summoning familiars give a skill boost when summoned. A large number of these boosts are invisible however. Invisible boosts can only be used to speed up your progress in a skill, they will not allow you to complete tasks you previously could not.
Evil Dave's Stew
When you complete Recipe for Disaster up to Evil Dave's subquest, you gain the ability to make Evil Dave's stew. There are 4 different spices, each of which give varying bonuses between -6 levels and +6 levels to a particular set of skills. The bonus you receive is random.

Q: Do stat enhancing item bonuses "stack" on top of eachother?
A: No, you cannot get a greater level by taking multiple enhancers for a single skill. The stat enhancer boosts your levels based on your actual level.
Q: If a stat enhancer lowers my level, is there any way to restore it back to the original level without waiting?
A: Yes, by taking a single dose of a super restore potion, all levels will be restored back to the original level.
Q: Is there any way to increase the maximum amount of run energy I have?
A: No, you cannot go above 100% run energy. However, a higher agility level restores your run energy at a faster rate, as well as resting.
Q: Does receiving assistance in a skill allow me to do quests that require a higher level?
A: No, the only way to do quests that require a specific level is either by having the level or by using a stat enhancer to temporarily gain that level.
