The General Discussion board at our RuneScape Community has been holding the Debate Tournament frequently every few months. In the Debate Tournament, a question about the hottest topics in RuneScape at the time is asked. Users can then post their thoughts on the question, and can reply to others and start a debate. There are 3 rounds in total, with eveyone being able to participate in the first round, then the 4 finalists chosen by the General Discussion staff participating in the second round, and finally, the top two debaters are chosen for the third and final round. Currently, Debate Tournament #8 is running in Round 1.

The question for the first round of Debate Tournament #8 is: The prices of membership are increasing in the beginning of February, by almost 33%. Will the increase in price prove to be a successful business move, or will it fail to attract the number of players that Jagex wants?

The Debate Tournament is a great event held every few months that everyone with a knack for discussions and debating should participate in. It will help you with your debating skills, you will meet new people, and most importantly, there is fun to be had.
