Notes
The Wise Old Man, or Dionysius, is a veteran adventurer, although he has since settled down in Draynor Village due to old age. He was a famous adventurer in his youth but grew tired of helping people all the time and not being rewarded for his efforts. He sells the
Quest point cape to players who have completed every quest in the game, excluding
Gunnar's Ground if the player had already completed
Romeo and Juliet before it's removal, for 99,000 coins.
He is narcissistic and believes that he should be able to take whatever he wants because he was rarely rewarded when he was an adventurer, leading to the Draynor bank robbery, his
blue partyhat and his attempt at robbing the wizard's tower.
But even though Dionysius has a bad outlook on questing, he still joins the adventurer during the
Swan Song and
Love Story, along with frequently appearing in quest cutscenes and Postbags from the Hedge.
In his youth, he had fallen in love with
Zenevivia and the two often quested and adventured together. But Dionysius soon grew tired of Zenevivia's love of pure combat and Zenevivia grew bored of questing and the two broke up and went their separate ways. The two reconcile and get back together after Love Story and Zenevivia moves into his house in Draynor.
