It will use protection prayers in the first minute of battle. Eventually though, it will wear off. If you wear dagon'hai robes or elite black armour, then these will not be aggressive towards you.

Tactics

Wearing elite black armour while using Magic protection prayers is a good way to face these. When attacking, he sometimes uses the phrase, 'Magicus Arcanus!'. Once his prayer turns off (after 1 minute of combat), he says, 'Curses, Zamorak has abandoned me!' Also his attacks are air strike, air wave, water strike, earth strike, earth wave, fire blast, curse, and weaken.
