This requires a Summoning level of 47 to summon.The Magpie is summoned from a Magpie pouch.
The Magpie will never fight in combat, instead it forages for jewelery and gems.
Every once in a while, you will receive a message saying: "Your familiar has produced an item."
The Magpie can store up to 30 of these items before it needs unloading. To unload, right click the magpie and click "Withdraw". If you do not withdraw by the time the magpie expires, the items it is carrying will appear on the floor.
The Magpie's Thieving fingers scroll provides a +2 boost to the owner's Thieving level.
