This pet is obtained as a reward for completing the Rune Mechanics quest.

In order to feed your pet, you must take it to any Runecrafting altar.
The colour of Rune guardians can be changed by using them on a Runecrafting altar, except from the Ourania altar which will have no effect. The examine text will change dependent on which altar the guardian has been used upon.
