The Luminescent icefiend is a stronger version of an icefiend who is located in a boss room.
Tactics
The Luminescent icefiend uses Magic and Ranged, and uses a special attack where he encases himself in ice to make himself immune, and then sends falling ice shards upon his enemies. As soon as you see this happen, keep running as the icicles will keep on falling where you were standing, or you will be dealt a fair amount of damage.
If you are low on health and are struck by the icicle attack, there is no need to heal until the attack ends since it will only reduce your life points to 1 but will not kill you.
Use Protect from magic while fighting him and use stab attacks.
