The Hobgoblin Geomancer is a hobgoblin who mainly uses Magic attacks, but can also attack with his spear. Strangely enough, he is named as the Geomancer shaman in the in-game skill guide.

Tactics

He has a special attack that allows him to prevent players from using prayers, and he will heal if they have any activated. Due to this, never activate any prayer during the fight, including any combat prayers, or expect the fight to last very long.

He uses mostly magic, so bring some armour that provides Magic defence. He will either Entangle you and then teleport out of reach various times if you are using melee, or Entangle you and teleport next to you if you are ranging or using Magic.

Bring both melee and Ranged equipment when fighting this boss, and a familiar where possible.
