The hide dropped by Paramastyx can be used to make Paraleather (Tier 3) ranged armour.

They can either be killed or caught with a Blood spindle trap. It is recommended to trap these as in doing so, more Paramastyx hide will be dropped.

A hunter level of 20 is required to trap these.
