Jossik is involved in the Horror from the deep quest when you must find him in the lighthouse. He is the one who will give you one prayer book after the completion of the Horror from the deep. You can only receive another once you fully complete the first one. If you lose your prayer book or die with it, you can receive a replacement with all of the pages you had for free from Jossik.
