Notes
Nex is the boss of the Ancient Stronghold. An interesting observation is that Nex was released on January 10, 2011.She is immune to poison and can seemingly hit through prayer.
Tactics
Nex has been said to be weaker to ranged than melee. The following is the best detailed tactic for Nex thus far.Phase 1
Does a disease attack that causes the poison and *cough*. The cough will spread to nearby players so be as spread as possible.
When Nex is at 4/5 of her total life points, kill the Fumus minion.
Phase 2 — Darkness
The screen will dim in and out. Black spots appear underneath you. These explode within one or two seconds. You have to keep moving to avoid them. Be alert because Nex will switch and run at you during the darkness.
When Nex is at 3/5 of her total life points, kill the Umbra minion.
Phase 3 — Blood Ravagers
She will use a blood barrage type of attack to heal herself. Clear the Blood Ravagers as soon as possible and be sure to not attack Nex while your hitsplats are purple on her avatar. This will heal everything you hit on her.
When Nex is at 2/5 of her total life points, kill the Cruor minion.
Phase 4 — Ice Prison
Range Nex and stay far away from her; do not get close to each other.
When Nex is at 1/5 of her total life points, kill the Glacies minion.
Phase 5
If she is on you, pray melee as her main attack is melee. If you are not being tanked, pray Magic. Nex will also use a curse upon her death that hits anyone close to her, so be sure to run as soon as she dies; this is where Ranged can help with the last bit of her life.
