You must have 75 Slayer and use a Rock hammer when it gets to 100 Life points or lower in order to kill the Gargoyle. Gargoyles have high Defence because they are made of rock. You have to walk past Aberrant spectres in the Slayer Tower so keep a Nose peg or Slayer helmet with you. If you're going to the ones in the Chaos Tunnels, then they're located in room 9.

Using a combination of Guthan's and Rune is highly effective against the Gargoyle. Using Verac's set can be an advantage.
