This is no longer a random event. The Shade will no longer find you as a random event, but is now found in the last room of the Stronghold of Security. They still drop shade robes. You receive less-than-normal combat exp when you kill these with melee, and you 3.5 xp per kill when killing these for Slayer.

Tactics

You can turn on protect from melee when fighting this monster, or run away.
