Notes
These drop the Gorak claw which is used in Herblore to make the Magic Essence potion. Also, when a Gorak hits damage on you, they will drain a random stat by 1 level. If you have a high enough level or use a super defence potion they won't hit you regularly enough to cause a serious problem. They drop gems regularly so if you are there for any length of time (i.e) on a slayer assignment you can expect to leave with a good haul of uncut diamonds and ruby's. Due the nature of the increased chance of a gem drop also makes getting a key half or shield half more likely.Tactics
The most important thing is to take a restore potion or a super set. Goraks drain a random stat by one with every hit they have on you, and before you know it they may have reduced your combat stats.Unless you are well prepared and have guthans, these are very powerful beasts, and as such, are not so great to train on. The goraks hit through prayer so praying against them is useless. It is recommended to take high defensive armour and defence potions as they can hit often and hard, Guthans is a must, you will spend most of your time wearing it. It might be a good idea to wear a ring of wealth, Goraks drop a lot of gems and as such the chances of getting a Key half or Shield half drop is increased since they are connected to gem drops.
The plain that they are on is not multicombat, and if you stay near the clouds you can escape through them if you are taking a lot of damage.
