Notes
Be sure to be wearing an Anti-dragon shield shield when near these dragons! As with most dragons, stab attacks are effective against Mithril Dragons. Mithril dragons have much stronger attacks than Brutal green dragon, so watch out! Immune to poison; Unless a Smoke spell is cast on it. Cannons cannot be used in the Ancient Cavern. Refer to our Ancient Cavern guide for additional information. Also, you can fuse the Strange key loop with the Strange key teeth by using them on a Mithril dragon to obtain the Dragonkin key. This one can be used to open the Mithril door.Range Equipment: Due to the dragons' immense strength it is recommended when ranging to use Ruby bolts (e), which have a chance of taking of 20% of a target's health (but also takes about 10% of your own). Also as with the Brutal green dragon, bring full black dragonhide, a Rune crossbow with Mithril bolts or better, an Archer helm, and Ava's accumulator if you have one. A Anti-dragon shield is a must, as their breath can hit you from several spaces away. In your inventory, have 1-2 Antifire (4), 1-4 , and the rest of your inventory should be good food (range potions and teleport runes are optional, but strongly recommended).

Your inventory should consist of 2-3 Antifire (4), a super set, 16-20 pieces of food (Shark strongly recommended), and the rest . Teleport runes are optional but strongly recommended.

Tactics
It will attack with range, magic, or melee. The recommended strategy is to range it, while protecting from range, and wearing Karil's armour. This will eliminate the melee attack and the range attack, and severely lower the magic attack (due to your high magic defence bonus). Using a rune crossbow with mithril bolts or better is quite effective.Melee: Attack the Mithril dragon in close range and use protect from Melee prayer. Drink potions as necessary again, but always ensure you are doing the best you can. It is recommended that you keep auto-retaliate OFF, as other dragons may attack you after you have killed a dragon, causing you to run away from the loot. Much like iron and steel dragons, mithril dragons have a greater weakness to stab attacks rather than slashing attacks. Leaf-bladed swords can prove more effective than weapons such as the abyssal whip while fighting these powerful beasts.
