Item: Amulet of Glory (or Amulet of Glory on the wall of your house), Boots of Lightness, Spotted or Spottier Cape, Ectophial, Games Necklace, Energy Potions, Falador Teleport Runes and Ardougne Teleport Runes (or House Teleport, then Falador or Ardougne Portal), Saradomin Book, Pickaxe and Superheat Runes (if you don't have iron bars), Explorer's ring (3).
Part 1:
Undead Chickens
Step 1
Speak to Ava, Draynor Manor.
Go to farmhouse in Port Phasmatys.
Talk to Alice & her husband.
Get Crone-Made Amulet from Old Crone.
Buy 2 undead chickens for 20 Ecto-tokens.
Go back and talk to Ava.
Items needed: Ghostspeak Amulet, Ectophial, 20 Ecto-Tokens.
If you have your Explorer's ring, teleport to the Cabbage Patch and from Draynor Village, head north into Draynor Manor and search the candle sconce in the south-west room until you find Ava. After you speak to her, she will ask for your help, requesting undead chickens.
Grab your ghostspeak amulet and head off to Port Phasmatys. Upon arrival, speak to Alice at the farmhouse (north-west of Port Phasmatys). She will then tell you to talk to her husband.
Speak to Alice's husband (in the yard with the cows) who will send you back to Alice. Alice will once again send you back to her husband asking for their stockpile of gold. He will not trust you, though, and will send you back to Alice.
Before you're able to receive the undead chickens, you'll be sent to Old Crone who will create a second ghostspeak amulet called the Crone-Made Amulet, which is requested so that Alice and her dead husband can speak to each other directly (Picture). The Old Crone is located to the west, on the eastern outside of the Slayer Tower, north of Canifis.
Go back to Alice's husband and hand him the Crone-Made Amulet. He will catch a chicken (after a cut-scene). Speak to him again and buy two chickens for 10 ecto-tokens each. Please refer to our Ghosts Ahoy quest guide for how to obtain Ecto-Tokens. Head back to Ava, and give her the chickens.
Part 2:
Magnetics
Step 2
Talk to Witch.
Give her 5 iron bars.
Go to Rimmington Mine.
Use hammer on iron bar while facing north.
Take Bar Magnet to Ava.
Try to chop an undead tree, then talk to Ava.
Items needed: 5 Iron Bars (or Pickaxe, Superheat Runes, Ardougne Teleport Runes and Amulet of Glory), Hammer, Falador Teleport Runes (optional), Mithril Hatchet.
Now that Ava has the chickens, she asks for a Magnet. She tells you to talk to the Witch next door. Speak to the Witch and ask her about natural magnetic fields. She'll send you to retrieve five Iron bars. If you don't already have 5 iron bars, teleport to Ardougne and mine your iron, use the spell "Superheat Item" to smelt them and then use an amulet of glory to get back to Draynor.
Give your 5 bars to the Witch; she'll give you another iron bar and tell you to go to Rimmington Mine (run west from Draynor or teleport to Falador and run south-west). Hit your iron bar with a hammer, whilst facing north. When you do this, you'll do an emote and create a Bar Magnet.
Go back to Draynor Manor, and give Ava the bar magnet. She'll tell you that you need a piece of wood that can regenerate itself. Use your Mithril hatchet on an undead tree inside the Manor courtyard. Your hatchet will bounce off the tree, so head back to Ava and tell her about it. She'll tell you to see Turael in Taverley.
Part 3:
A Blessed Hatchet
Step 3
Talk to Turael, near Taverley west bank.
Trade for blessed hatchet.
Chop a haunted tree for undead twigs.
Talk to Ava.
Translate notes.
Items needed: Mithril Hatchet, Holy Symbol, Games Necklace (optional), Amulet of Glory (optional).
Go see Turael in Taverley. He will trade his blessed hatchet for a mithril hatchet and a holy symbol (Picture).
When you have the blessed hatchet, head back to the courtyard of Draynor Manor and chop down one of the moving haunted trees (the ones that attack you) to receive some undead twigs. When you have them, head back to Ava.
After speaking to Ava you'll be given some notes which, when translated, will detail how you create a container (Ava's Accumulator) to hold arrows in. Click the green buttons to turn the part off. Turn off all except 2, 5, and 9.
Step 4
Talk to Ava for a pattern.
Use polished buttons and hard leather on pattern.
Items needed: Buttons, Hard Leather, Amulet of Glory (optional).
Speak to Ava again and she'll give you a pattern to complete, then tell you to get a bit of hard leather and some buttons.
To obtain hard leather, go to Lumbridge, kill a cow, and take the hide to Al-Kharid and tan it for a small fee.
To obtain some buttons go to the HAM hideout, found in the forest between Lumbridge and Draynor Village. When you're inside their hideout, pick-pocket HAM members until you get some buttons. Take note that only female HAM members can be pick-pocketed at level 15 thieving. Once you have the hard leather and buttons, polish the buttons (left click option), then use them on the Pattern and you'll get a Container. Go back to Ava to collect your reward, a device you helped to build.

A: To obtain a holy symbol head to Al Kharid Chasm mine and mine one silver, four coal and one mithril ore. Either superheat or take them to the furnace in Al-Kharid (buy holy symbol mold from Dommik's Crafting store in east Al-Kharid). Smelt the ores, make the holy symbol, string it, and get it blessed at either the Monastery (west of Edgeville), or use a complete Guthix or Saradomin Prayer book.
To obtain a mithril hatchet (requires level 51 smithing), take a hammer, mithril bar, and the blessed holy symbol with you to Burthorpe. Smith the mithril hatchet at Denulth's anvil (just east of the castle).
A: Stab -100, Slash -100, Crush -50, Strength -10 (All Attack Bonuses)
A: +4 Range Attack, +1 Slash Defence, +4 Mage Defence.
A: When equipped, steel or iron arrows will be made and equipped automatically, unless your quiver is full, in which case the arrows will appear in your inventory. This, however, depends on your ranged level and the accumulator type: under 50 ranged and having an attractor will receive you iron. Above 50 ranged and having an accumulator will receive steel. You must be moving around for them to spawn, and whilst walking around RuneScape you may also find some random metal objects appearing in your inventory (med helms, ores etc).
A: Yes, it is possible to get both. Simply ask Ava for another device to get an Attractor. You may then upgrade this Attractor to an Accumulator for 75 steel arrows, or leave it as it is.
