How about your own inescapable fears? How would you defeat them?
Well, you'll soon find out as a tough and often bizarre quest awaits those of a strong will!
Part 1:
Helping Out
Step 1
Talk to Lokar Searunner.
Talk to Captain Bently and go to Lunar Isle.
Go to the mines and raise the spirit, health, and armament of the fallen man.
Items needed: Seal of Passage, Various Types of Food.
Go to Rellekka and talk to Lokar Searunner. He will take you to Pirates Cove. From there, talk to Captain Bently who will take you to the Lunar Isle. If you don't have a Seal of Passage, talk to Brundt the Chieftain to get a new one. Be sure to not bank the seal while on the Island or they will kick you off.
Head to the north-east part of the island and enter the mines (it has an exclamation point on it). Crawl through the cave entrance to the east and talk to the fallen man.
You will learn that you will need to improve his health, spirit, and armament. Give him 4 different pieces of food to get him to 20% (about 3-5 pieces of different food). If you try to give him two of the same, he will reject it unless you've given him 2 different types of food before this. Right click to inspect the man and find out what percent he is at.
Now to get his spirit up. Talk to him, choosing the positive options that appear. Keep doing so until he is at 100% spirit. Continue to raise his health and spirit. Once his health is high enough he will stand up (requires about 5 of 3 different foods) and tell you to go to the bank and talk to his friend. This will gain you the armour you need to return to Cyrisus.
Go to the bank and talk to 'Bird's-eye' Jack who is behind one of the bank booths. You can simply just right-click and access the bank straight away, if you talk to him he will let you access his bank after a long conversation. The items Cyrisus wants are: Dragon Med Helm, Abyssal whip, Ahrims robetop, Ahrims robeskirt and Ranger boots. Go back to Cyrisus with the items.
Note: Cyrisus will ask for different items depending on your combat style; if you are a ranger he may ask instead for: Splitbark helm, Adamant boots, Torag's legs, Magic shortbow and Karil's top.
Part 2:
Cyrisus' Fear
Step 2
Talk to Oneiromancer.
Make the potion.
Defeat the Inadequacy, the Everlasting, the Untouchable, and the Illusive
Talk to the Oneiromancer again
Items needed: Armour and Weapons, One Astral Rune, Hammer, Tinderbox, Pestle and Mortar, Goutweed.

When you have gotten all of Cyrisus' stats to 100%, he will tell you to meet him at the Oneiromancer. Head down to the Astral altar and do so.
Once you've spoken to the Oneiromancer, Cyrisus will teleport in. After a little conversation you will be told to make a new Dream Potion. To do so, you need to add water, goutweed, and a crushed astral rune to the Dream Vial. In order to get goutweed, you must go back to the storage area in Eadger Ruse quest.
To get the water just use the Dream Vial with a water source. The crushed astral rune is received from using a hammer and anvil, and then a pestle and mortar on an Astral rune.
Once you make the potion go talk to Cyrisus in the brazier room. Light the logs with a tinderbox then talk to Cyrisus. You will be teleported to dream land.Beware you cannot teleport out of the dream state, you will have to use the pedestal to exit the dream state.
After a little talk you will turn around to see The Inadequacy (Level-343). This monster is the hardest, but Cyrisus helps you. The Inadequacy also spawns monsters called A Doubt which will disappear as soon as you kill the Inadequacy.Strategy: Bring as many sharks as possible, as well as a super set as prayer does not work in dreamland.
After you defeat "The Inadequacy", another monster The Everlasting (Level-223) will appear. As before, killing "The Everlasting" will spawn the next boss, this time The Untouchable (Level-274).
After killing "The Untouchable", you will be confronted by the final monster, The Illusive (Level-108). This monster will dig into the ground and appear somewhere else a short time later; continue until you kill it. After killing the final monster, Cyrisus will finish it by squishing it, and tell you he is over his fear of combat. He will tell you to go and speak to the Oneiromancer once again. Talk to the Oneiromancer to claim your reward.

A: No, you must fully complete the quest before you are allowed to use the new spells.
