The dwarves of the Dwarven Mine have built the latest marvel of dwarven engineering: a machine to automatically make pickaxes for the many miners. In order to supply energy for this machine, they have commissioned a new power station on the slopes of Ice Mountain.

Projects of this scale are never without their problems, though. A hapless dwarf delivering resources to the power station has lost part of his delivery and any adventurer who helps him is bound to find more problems to solve.

Part 1:
The Story Begins

Step 1
Talk to Lakki.
Search Bushes.
Give Drorkar the crate.

Zybez RuneScape Help's Image of the Bushes PathSpeak to Lakki the Delivery Dwarf who can be found below Ice Mountain on the road between the Barbarian Village and Falador. He will say that has has lost a crate that he was carrying, offer to help find the delivery and you will find yourself looking for the box; he'll tell you that he lost one of his crates along the path to the west (mapped to the right). Upon travelling down towards Falador on the road, you'll come across a number of bushes; search them and you should find the crate.Zybez RuneScape Help's Image of LakkiNow that you have found the crate, you need to return it to Drorkar in the Dwarf camp on Ice Mountain's southern edge (Picture), who can be found in the factory-like building just west of the ladder that leads down to the Dwarven Mines. Drorkar will thank you for delivering the box to him, a cut-scene will show, and he will ask you to deliver a letter to his brother, Bordiss.

Step 2
Deliver Drorkar's letter.
Water flowers.
Follow gnome.

Items needed: Compost (or supercompost), Full Watering can.

Bordiss is located in the cabbage patch on the northern end of the Monastery (just east of Ice Mountain) along with Brother Althric. You must talk to Bordiss and hand him the letter which Drorkar sent to him. You may notice that Bordiss doesn't say anything for a while and that it's just a blank box, but don't worry; he's just taken a vow of silence.

Eventually Bordiss will break his silence and explain to you that he had a better idea (although he doesn't tell you what it is just yet), and that Drorkar's idea has many dangers; he sends you off to talk to Nurmof about the power station. Meanwhile you'll notice that the roses in the garden have died.

Talk to Brother Althric and offer to help keep his roses from dying by putting compost on them and watering them for him. You'll need to go to the nearest bank (which is Edgeville) or the nearest Tool Leprechaun (which is in Falador) and collect your supplies; make sure your watering can is full before you set off.

When you go to water the flowers, a cut-scene will begin where a gnome will come to the ground from a parachute (Picture). Brother Althric gives him directions and asks you to follow him to find out what's going on.

Part 2:
Saving the Species

Step 3
Catch the Icefiends.
Talk to the Oracle.
Re-build the Oracle's tent.

Items needed: 2 Nails, 2 Planks, Saw, Hammer.Zybez RuneScape Help's Picture of Picking Up The Tent

The gnome, Professor Arblenap, is located in the south-west corner of the mountain. Talk to him and he will tell you that the Icefiends are dying out because it's too hot on the mountain; however, he doesn't have any idea what could be causing the change in the temperature and asks you to help him catch four Icefiends and return them to him once you've caught them. These are located around the top of the mountain. Wield the net he gives you, catch four baby icefiends, then return to Professor Arblenap and he will thank you.

After Professor Arblenap has left, you'll be transported to a small cut-scene. You'll notice that a large avalanche has just tumbled down the north-east side of the mountain, and has probably destroyed everything in its path. When venturing further north you'll find the Oracle, talk to her and she'll present you with your next task, which is fixing her tent.

Here is where you will need your nails, planks, saw and hammer. Go to the bottom of the mountain on the north-east side and bring it back up to the top. Use it with the remains where the tent once used to be and the tent will be fixed. Once you're done, talk to the Oracle again and she'll tell you of the horrible misfortunes for Runescape's future.

The Oracle has had a vision of what is to come in the future that she sees rising temperatures and a civilization destroyed. You are told to tell Nurmof about your discovery. Nurmof can be found by going down the ladder at Dwarf area on Ice Mountain and heading into the dwarf mines. Nurmof runs the pickaxe store the factory is working, follow to caves straight south from the ladder, not towards the Falador exit ladder, and then turn up past the general store to meet him (Picture). He is considering to change the power station as the dragon eggs cost him a lot of money, however he is not convinced.

Step 4
Steal key.
Talk to Bordiss.
Open chest.
Show plans to Nurmof.

Talk to Bordiss back at the Monastery. He reveals that he did have plans for another type of power station, but had lost the keys to the chest where he kept the plans. You are told to go and find the key and use it to unlock the chest where the plans are hidden. The key is located in Drorkar's pocket. Pickpocket him to get the key to unlock the chest.

Return to Nurmof in the dwarven mines and tell him he needs to shut down the plant.Zybez RuneScape Help's Picture of Unlocking the Chest

Now you've got to retrieve the plans. The chest is located on the northern wall of the ore shop that just east of the entrance in the Dwarven Mines. Use the key on the chest and get the plans.

You should now go and give the plans to Nurmof. Use the plans with him and he will read them and change the power station into a more "environmentally friendly" windmill. Drorkar will be dismissed.
