Jorral has discovered more information about the weird yet wonderful enchanted key. Where this historical information will lead is a mystery, but one thing is certain: it'll be no ordinary search for clues from the past.

Part 1:
Travelling Back

Step 1
Speak to Jorral.
Read his notes.
Rub the key at the correct position.

Speak to Jorral at the Outpost north-west of West Ardougne, ask about helping with more work. He will give you the enchanted key if you don't have yours and notes on the enchanted key you discovered in the previous quest (Picture), Making History. He suspects that there may be more to the artefact but he is still reserved in his belief, leaving the investigation to you. In his speech you can bank all your items except his notes, do so if you need to as they cannot be used in the rest of the quest.Zybez RuneScape Help's Screenshot of the key location

If Jorral didn't give you the enchanted key then that means it may be somewhere in your bank. Remember to check your keyring first as it may be there if you have completed the Treasure Hunting tasks and completed One Small Favour.

Head east of the outpost and run past West Ardougne. Cross the river at the bridge leaving East Ardougne, rub or feel the key to work out where you are in the relation to the location. The location where you need to stand is shown on the right. So long as you only have the key and Jorral's notes in your inventory and nothing equipped when you rub the key on the spot you will be teleported a different location, or rather a different time.

Step 2
Speak to Laura at the farm.
Rub the key again and then return to Jorral.
Return to the past A.
Speak to the family members.
Travel to Past B.
Read Jack's mind.
Speak to Laura and then Sarah.
Return to Past A.

Upon arrival Jorral's notes will disintegrate, as you will be informed in-game these are no longer needed anyway. You will appear outside a farm. Run east and enter the yard. Speak to Laura who is building a shed, you will realise you have travelled back in time. Rub your key again to return to the present. Head to the Outpost and speak to Jorral.

You recount your adventure to Jorral and he will be interested. You propose to return and help the settlers in the past as they may well struggle on their own. Jorral wants you to gather information about the people in the past. He also informs you that rubbing different parts of the key can send you to different times. Return to the spot near the river.

Rub the key and a display will come up, rub Past A, the furthest back into the past (the teeth end of the key) (Picture). Speak to each of the family members, Roger inside the house, Jack outside, and Laura again who is building. You will not be able to gather much information from them, rub your enchanted key and travel to Past B so that you can learn how they improved their situation.

Speak to Jack. Offer to read his mind, tell him that he wished to be a wizard and to be called Super Jack the Fantasmic, that he originally had Mind, Body, Cosmic, and Fire runes and that he was introduced to magic by Misalionar at age seven. Also tell him that he practiced magic by making a fire, he wanted to create chocolate cakes and use his magic for good and that his favourite flavour of milk was strawberry. He will be impressed and will ask you why his mother's fruit trees never grew in their garden (Picture).

Speak to Laura, she will regret never travelling in life and wishes that she had had a map. Roger will have gone slightly insane, so speak to his now grown up daughter Sarah in the garden on the other side of the house. She will say that she has always had to take a mixture of honey, milk and guam to remedy a cough she was born with. Return to Past A.

Part 2:
Back to the Future

Step 3
Replant the fruit trees.
Search the shelves and draw a map to give to Laura.
Search the side table and bedroom shelves.
Gather honey with the bowl and make the remedy.
Give the remedy to baby Sarah.
Travel to Past B.

In the garden search the pots and then pick up the spade from the respawn point. Dig up all the trees in the garden by using the spade on the saplings. Replant the Quince seedling in the most northern central patch, then moving anti-clockwise down the patches plant the plum, pear, mango, lemon, ending in the most southern central patch with the avocado seedling. See the picture below for clarification, note that this is showing them grown in Past B.Zybez RuneScape Help's Screenshot of the fruit trees

Enter the house and search the shelves in the equivalent dining room. Take the charcoal and papyrus and use them on one another to make a map. Give this to Laura. Search the side table on the western side of the room, take the guam, bucket of milk and the pestle and mortar. Use the pestle and mortar on the guam. In the bedroom search shelves to get a bowl. Use the bowl on the beehive in the garden to get honey. Mix the honey, milk, and ground guam together and then use it on Sarah (Picture). Roger will thank you and tell you via a cutscene that the humans in RuneScape arrived from a different plane of existence. Travel forwards to Past B.

Step 4
Speak to Jack.
Speak to Laura.
Travel to Past A.
Search the bedside table for the brooch.
Bury it in the soil mound.
Travel to Past B and dig it up.
Speak to Laura.
Return to Jorral in the present.

Speak to the grown up Jack, now that the fruit trees are healthy he will inform you on how runes were created in RuneScape by Guthix (Picture). Speak to the elderly Laura, she will regret losing a brooch in her adventures when younger. Travel back to Past A and search the bedside table next to the bed in the bedroom to get the brooch (Picture). Bury the brooch in the soil mound nearby to Laura.

Return to Past B, inspect the soil mound, enter the now built shed and take a spade. Dig up the brooch and then speak again to Laura to hand her the brooch. She will be grateful and will tell you how Guthix brought them up (Picture), return to the present. Head to the Outpost and speak to Jorral.
