Speak with Brundt

Learn of Brundt's past
Obtain directions
Speak with Manni the Reveller at the longhall in Rellekka to start the quest. Manni says that he's planning a surprise feast for Chieftain Brundt because his birthday is coming up soon. He asks that you invite a couple of people for him. Accept his offer and he will tell you that Mawnis Burowgar of Neitiznot and King Vargas of Miscellania are the invitees.
Go north of the longhall until you arrive at the most northern dock. Ask Maria Gunnars to take you to Neitiznot. Go inside the small town and enter the building that's directly south of the bank. Ask Mawnis about the party and he will tell you that neither King Vargas or him can go. He says that King Vargas still blames Brundt for what happened to him (Picture). Mawnis will finally tell you to speak with the Chieftain to find out more.
Sail back to Rellekka and speak with Chieftain Brundt in the longhall. Ask about why Mawnis and King Vargas may be upset and a cutscene will begin. The cutscene explains that King Vargas and Brundt never spoke again because of an adventure they once had. They were seeking out a mysterious tablet, but failed on their journey. Now both of them are accusing each other of stealing the tablet (Picture). After the cutscene ends, your character will suggest looking in the cave where the tablet was. Brundt will hand you some directions and suggests that you speak with the others to get the rest.

Learn of Brundt's past
Obtain directions
Take the boat back to Neitiznot and speak with Mawnis about the tablet. A cutscene will begin and you will hear his side of the story. The cutscene depicts Prince Vargas, Brundt, Asleif, Mawnis, and Nial inside a cave. They discover a monster called Gnoeals and he transforms Nial into a yeti (Picture). The yeti begins attacking everyone and the cutscene ends. Mawnis will then add some directions onto the ones you already know (Picture).
Go back to Rellekka and take the boat to Miscellania that's on the second to most western dock. Go to the second floor of the western castle and speak with King Vargas. A cutscene will begin showing you his side of the story. This cutscene depicts that King Vargas was actually the one who defeated Gnoeals, not Nial, but got cursed in the process (Picture). After the cutscene, King Vargas will declare that Mawnis' story wasn't correct. Finally, he will complete the set of directions you were given earlier (Picture).
Part 2:
The Mysterious Cave

Go back to Rellekka and go outside of the city to the east side. Run north until you arrive at the shoreline. Alternatively, use the code DKS on the fairy ring system and you'll be right near the path. Go east and there should be a north-east path trailing north; follow it and you should be in an ice area with sabre-tooth kebbits. Ascend the stairs to the north and go to the north-west corner. Inspect the tracks that you find (Picture). Follow them and inspect them as you go along; eventually you should be at an ice mound. Dig at it with your pickaxe and a cave entrance will be revealed (Picture).
Go inside the cave and run south. Various Yeti (level-93) and Gnoeals (level-93) will be here throwing damaging snowballs at you. Turn on protect from magic to protect yourself from their attacks. Go inside the cave entrance and you'll see Nial Swiftfling (lvl-156). Nial uses a combination of range and melee, so it's best to use the protect from melee prayer while fighting him up close. After defeating him pick up the herb pouch, Nial's throwing axe, the Yeti hair, and unfinished astral rune that he drops.
Part 3:
Making Amends

Head back to Rellekka and ask Mord Gunnars for a boat ride to Jatizso (he's on the same dock as Maria Gunnars from earlier). Go inside the city and speak with Freygerd who's located at the south-west corner. She wants to move back to Neitiznot to be closer with her brother, but an emigration tax is preventing her from doing so. Go east into the checkered floor building and speak with King Gjuki Sorvott IV about the tax. He'll agree to lower it, so speak with Freygerd again. Give her Nial's throwing axe and she'll ask you to tell Mawnis about her moving back (Picture).
Sail back to Neitiznot and speak with Mawnis. He will be so excited about the news that he decides he will attend the feast, after all (Picture).
Step 5
Go to the Mountain Camp

Items needed: Plank, Pole, Empty Vial, Clean Irit, Herblore Pouch, Pestle and Mortar, Yeti Hair, 10 Earth Runes, 1 Cosmic Rune
Head back to Rellekka and run directly east of the entrance to the city. When you see the swaying tree, go north-east. Climb over the rockslide and make your way through the Mountain Camp. Go to Jokul's tent and pick up the pole that's sitting by the goats (Picture). Follow the path north by his tent until you arrive at a tall tree; climb it (Picture). Use the pole on the small clump of rocks to get to the other side. Use a plank on the flat stones and then listen to the shining pool.
You will ask the spirit of Asleif about a cure for King Vargas. She will instruct you to fill an empty vial with the spring water near you (Picture). After that, put an irit in and use a pestle and mortar to grind the diamond root from the pouch you found earlier. Finally, enchant the root with a level 4 enchant spell, add it to the potion and add the hair of a yeti to it to obtain a yeti curse cure.
Go back to Miscellania and give the potion to King Vargas. He will then turn back into his human form and requests that you give him Asleif's pouch to remember her by. Finally, King Vargas will agree to go to Chieftain Brundt's feast.
Step 6
Show Brundt the astral rune

Items needed: Unfinished Astral Rune
Head to Rellekka and speak with Brundt about the unfinished astral rune you found. A cutscene will ensue showing that there was actually a third party attending him on the adventure: a mysterious mage (Picture). The cutscene ends and he says that he will make amends with his friends.
Speak with Manni and the feast will begin. Enjoy the small cutscene and the quest will be complete.
A: It gives 5,000 XP to any combat stat (besides Magic, Prayer and Summoning) three times.
A: Take it to Baba Yaga on Lunar Isle and she'll give you a tablet and an antique lamp. The antique lamp can be rubbed to give 2,500 experience in any skill you choose. The tablet can be donated to the Varrock Museum for 10 kudos. This will require the completion of Lunar Diplomacy quest.
