A stranger has washed up on the shores of Lunar Isle, broken and delirious, and Baba Yaga requests your aid in getting him back on his feet. Yet beware the horrors that lurk in his mind, for they could prove to be a very real threat for Fremennik everywhere...

Part 1:
DreamScape

Step 1
Talk to Baba Yaga
Listen to Silas
Search the bookshelf for the Prophecy tablet
Eavesdrop on the Dagannoths
Ward off Dagannoths while Baba Yaga repairs the Lectern

Zybez RuneScape Help's Image of Silas Items needed: Strong melee armour, Any weapon, Food

Speak with Baba Yaga, located on Lunar Isle. Her house is pretty hard to miss, as it walks around in the northern parts of the city. Ask her about the man in the bed, and she will talk about how he was washed up on the shores. (Picture) After a brief conversation, she will bring up entering the man's dreams. Accept to do so, and you will appear there. Be sure to bring armour and food with you.

After a brief conversation with Baba Yaga, you realize that you are in the lighthouse, and this man is Silas, who runs it. You will notice that he is sitting at his desk, muttering. Listen in, and he will speak complete nonsense. After you are done talking to him, check the bookshelf to receive the Prophecy tablet (lighthouse). Go up the staircase, and you will notice an army of Dagannoths, as well as the Dagannoth mother. Eavesdrop on their conversation. Afterward, Baba Yaga says you need to leave the dream world.

Go through the next tunnel. Talk to Silas, then try using the lectern. It doesn't work, so Baba Yaga steps in. While she is fixing it, you must ward off the incoming Dagannoths and a Wallasalki. She will heal you and give you vengeance during the fight. All you need to do is survive the battle until she's ready (Picture). It's recommended to use either 'Protect from Magic' or 'Protect from Missiles' protection prayers during the fight. Wearing melee armour will also counteract most of the melee damage. When Baba Yaga finally finishes, you'll wind back up in her house.

Part 2:
The Daggermouth Invasion

Step 2
Kill Dagannoths in Rellekka
Talk to Queen Sigrid
Receive Balmung

Zybez RuneScape Help's Image of Ship

Items needed: Strong melee armour, Any weapon, Food, Prayer potions

The Oneiromancer comes in and lets you know about the issue in Rellekka with Dagannoths swarming the shores (Picture). If you are ready, then Baba Yaga will teleport you there. Be sure to be fully equipped and well-supplied before entering the battleground.

Once you accept, she'll take your Seal of passage, "trick you," and you'll be sent to Rellekka. The objective here is to take out as many Dagannoths as possible until Chieftain Brundt orders you to retreat to the boat. The entire area is multicombat and there are various Fremennik warriors scattered around, fending off the monstrous invasion (Picture). Simply run around while taking out as many foes as possible. If too much damage is being taken, use the 'Protect from Missiles' protection prayer to block some of it. Wearing heavy-duty melee armour will help out immensely here. When enough Dagannoths are finally slain, return to the boat and talk with Queen Sigrid. She will give you the Balmung, which is ideal for slaying Dagannoths (Picture). Afterward, Brundt will offer to take you straight to Waterbirth Island or to Etceteria to bank.

Step 3
Find Bardur on Waterbirth Island and talk to him
Lead King Vargas out of the tunnel
Speak to Eir, Asleif and Niel
Perform the Wedding for King Vargas and Queen Sigrid

Items needed: Rope (supplied to you)

Find Bardur once on the Waterbirth Island; he is located near the entrance to the cave. Talk to him, and he will tell you about the hole that he's found south-west of where you are. He says voices have been coming from it. You will receive a rope from him; go to the hole, and tie the rope to it (Picture).

The following area is multicombat and contains many strong monsters that will be attacking you all at once. It's HIGHLY recommended that you take at least three or four prayer potions in order to make it out alive. Protection prayers will definitely save your life here. Also, if you have any Summoning familiars that can heal or store items, they can be useful to bring along.

Climb down and you'll see King Vargas lying on the floor. Speak with him to learn that he's injured and needs someone to assist him in escaping the tunnels. Bardur will call down to you saying you can't come through the entrance, due to Dagannoths swarming the area. You'll have to guide him through the tunnels instead. Navigate your way through the tunnels and fend off the monsters as they appear to ensure King Vargas' safety. In order to make this process easier, it's best to attack enemies before they see him. You'll also have to turn off "run" and only click a few steps in front of you at a time. Otherwise, you'll lose him. Don't waste any time by fighting the monsters either. If they're not attacking King Vargas, simply move along while using the appropriate protection prayers. Keep in mind that you can use your food on King Vargas if his health gets too low. At one point, three Dagannoths will come up from behind you and attack King Vargas as you walk away from a ladder. Be sure to kill them, as you cannot advance to the next ladder until you've done so.

When you try climbing up the final ladder, a rock will fall on your head. You'll wake up in a majestic place and find Eir, as well as Niel Swiftling and Asleif Hamalsdotter. Eir will say that this is the Great Hall in the afterlife (Picture). After talking to all of them, talk to Eir once more. She will send you back to the ship.

You will awaken on the boat, surrounded by all of your Fremennik friends. They'll all interrupt each other, but they get the main point across. King Vargas and Queen Sigrid want to get married, and have you perform the wedding for them (Picture). Additionally, you will become married, too. It's now time for the final battle. You can hop off at Etceteria to bank.

Part 3:
The Battle

Step 4
Speak to Brundt to go to Waterbirth Island
Enter the Cave where King Vargas was
Fight the Dagannoth sentinels
Fight the Dagannoth mother

Items needed: Strong armour, Balmung, Ranged weapon, Air/Water/Earth/Fire spells, Food Zybez RuneScape Help's Image of Silas

If you stopped off at Etceteria, you will need to talk to Brundt in the Great Hall, back in Rellekka. Go to Waterbirth Island again and go inside the cave (not the main entrance, the one you went down in to save King Vargas). Make sure you've gotten a lot of food, as well as elemental spells, a bow, arrows, your Balmung, and armour. Prayer is very important, as it will eliminate a way that the monsters ahead can attack you, as well as the Mother (two potions should suffice). You can take familiars such as a Spirit terrorbird to hold food for you, or a Bunyip to restore health.

Go down the hole, and the others will trail after you, and Koschei the Deathless remains in the back room; however, he comes back through because the Dagannoth kings have arrived. The others will fall back with him, thus leaving you alone to fight the Dagannoth mother. Ahead lie two Dagannoth sentinels, which attack using all three attack styles. Stand inbetween them and alternate your attacks, using the Balmung, between them for every two hits you land (Picture). The one that you aren't attacking will heal the other one after three or so battle rounds (one round equates to one hit from your weapon). If you attack it before then, then his healing will be negated. Just make sure to constantly swap between each one. Once you've killed them, enter the tunnel, and you'll have to navigate your way through another winding tunnel. Follow through until you find a tunnel opening in the wall, and navigate your way through the tunnels once more. There are dead ends with water blocking your path, but you can see them coming ahead of time, so it shouldn't be too tricky to go through. Beware of the Dagannoth guardians that are roaming around.

Step 5
Fight the Dagannoth mother

Go through the larger tunnel door at the end, and you'll be in a room right before the Dagannoth mother. You'll have a brief conversation with her, then she'll attack (Picture). Beware; she changes attack styles every so often, so you'll need to keep an eye on it. Her back will change to a colour; here is how you'll know how to attack her:

White: Air spells
Blue: Water spells
Brown: Earth spells
Red: Fire spells
Green: Ranged attacks
Orange: Melee (Balmung)

Tip: When fighting the Dagannoth mother, be sure to alternate between the prayers of Protect from Missiles, Protect from Magic and Protect from Melee. To get a better idea of the attack style that she is using, you can turn up the ambient sounds under the sound settings.

It's best to stand right next to her when attacking. This way, her attacks aren't completely random, and you can focus on changing prayers less. She can hit over 400 on you if you're not careful, although it's not very often. Even if it takes you a while, be safe and keep changing prayer as needed. Also, the only way you'll be able to escape from the Dagannoth mother is through teleporting. Once she is dead, you will need to go back to the other room (not back into the tunnels). Pick up the plank, pickaxe, and tinderbox here. Try collapsing one of the pillars, and the rocks will fall on you, killing you. Fear not, as you'll end up being saved by Eir once more. She'll send you back, and click on the rope. Brand and Astrid have died, unfortunately. You'll experience a cutscene, showing a funeral for them. Congratulations, Quest Complete!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I stand away from the Dagannoth mother and pray magic/range to kill her?

A: The best way to kill the mother is to take the best spells possible for you, a ranged weapon, and your Balmung. Be right next to her during the fight. You may need a prayer restore potion. The mother will change attack styles often, but you can usually get a few hits in before she does change. Additionally, her back will change colours. You must change your attack type in order to hit her. As long as you keep an eye on your prayer and what style she's using, you will be fine. Keep good food on you.

Q: What level in a skill must I have in order to use the experience on it?

A: You must be level 75 in either Attack, Strength, Defence, Constitution, Ranged, Prayer, or Magic in order to use the experience on it.

Q: Can I reach my gravestone in time, should I die?

A: Definitely. Provided you die, you will be granted the option to return to the entrance of the cave, with your gravestone right before the room. Therefore, you will have easy access to your belongings.
