The veteran adventurer Xenia has come in search of talented heroes to accompany her into the depths of Lumbridge Catacombs. Together, you will uncover a plot to awaken a slumbering evil. Can you save the citizens of Lumbridge from a fate worse than death?
Part 1:
Xenia's worries
Step 1
Speak with Xenia
Go down the stairs leading to the catacombs
Speak to Xenia who can be found in the graveyard of Lumbridge church. She will explain to you that a group of Zamorakian cultists have captured a citizen of the town, and have taken her to the catacombs that lie below the church grounds. She wants you to travel down there with her to investigate.
When you finish talking to Xenia, go down the stairs that lead to the catacombs, and a short cutscene (Picture) will play involving the cultists, Reese, Kayle, and Caitlin, leading the citizen further down the tunnel.
Part 2:
Fighting the cultists
Step 2
Defeat Kayle the ranger
Defeat Caitlin the mage
Defeat Reese the warrior
When you get down, Kayle will be on the other side of the next room and Xenia will be following you. When you walk towards Kayle, he will shoot an arrow at Xenia and injure her, making her fall back to the room you first came from. You will now need to defeat him.
After he is defeated, you will have the option to either spare his life or kill him. Either way, you will get his sling called Kayle's sling. Equip it and head towards the next room.
Catlin the mage is in the next room, who will be casting Air strike on you from the other side of the gap. Attack her with your bow until she is defeated, then operate the winch (Picture) near the speared gate to open the gate. As with Kayle, you also have the option here to spare her life or kill her. She will provide you with 50 Air runes and 50 Mind runes.
Go down the stairs to meet the final cultist, Reese, who is a warrior. He will say that the blood pact is almost complete, and you will need to defeat him at this point. Note that although Xenia advises you to use Magic against him, since that is what he is supposedly weak to; however, you can kill him with any other combat style. After you defeat him, untie the hostage (Picture) and you will escape from the catacombs.
When you appear at Lumbridge cemetery, Xenia will praise you for saving the lives of the townspeople of Lumbridge and hand you Reese's sword. Congratulations, Quest complete!
