Step 1: Saving Mabel
Fetch Mabel's ring.
Fetch the twig for Zenevivia.
Accept her challenge to a battle.
Head to Draynor Village.

Talk to Mabel in the barn, and she will explain that she lost her ring and needs someone to find it. Agree to help her, and go up the ladder near her. Upstairs you will encounter a puzzle of hay bales. You can push up to two bales at the same time. This puzzle is quite easy to complete since there is only one path to take. Retrieve the ring and go back downstairs. Mabel will now be trapped in a sack, and you will encounter Zenevivia.

Talk to her and ask her what she requires. She will tell you to fetch a twig from the haystacks nearby. Search the hay to find the twig. Give it to her and ask about Mabel. Note that you should not ask if she requires anything else since she will only tell you to fetch another twig from the haystack. She will challenge you and the Wise Old Man to a battle, and when you accept her request, she will teleport away. Go back to Draynor Village and talk to the Wise Old Man.

Step 2: Breaking and Entering
Speak to the Wise Old Man.
Head to the Rimmington house portal.
Modify the teleport tablet.

Tell the Wise Old Man that you have seen Zenevivia, and he will tell you about how he once fell in love with her. A cutscene will play where he reminisces times he spent with her. Afterwards, bring a Chisel, a Mithril bar, either a Steel bar or a Clockwork, two Oak planks, and, if you plan to fight on the same trip, your melee combat gear, any Ranged weapon, decent food (Monkfish or Sharks), and either an Anti-dragon shield or Dragonfire shield.



With the Wise Old Man following you, walk to Rimmington's house portal, enter the portal, and choose to enter the Wise Old Man's house. You will not be able to, so tell him to try and step inside. He will not be able to either and explains that his house has been disconnected from the teleportation matrix. He will tell you to meet at the house south-east of the portal.

He will come up with a plan to teleport directly inside the house through a modified teleportation tablet and will hand you 100 Teleport to house tablets. If you have a Chisel in your inventory at this point, he will teach you how to chip a tablet and you will get a chipped tablet. Choose to open it, and you will encounter a puzzle. You must be standing near the Wise Old Man or you will not be able to open it. Arrange the tiles according to these pictures: Lower Half | Upper Half

Step 3: The Pit and Final Battle
Teleport into the Wise Old Man's house.
Craft the dummy.
Work through the dungeon.
Defeat Zenevivia.

Break the tablet, and you will appear in the Wise Old Man's former house. Nearby, there will be a dungeon entrance. Send the Wise Old Man down the entrance and a magical trap will activate, damaging him for 500 lifepoints. He will tell you to go to the workshop and sit down by the Clockmaker's bench. He will then instruct you on how to make a Dummy. Send your dummy into the dungeon and control it by choosing to walk to wherever you want it to go. There is one trap in the first room with the staircase, two in every room with a monster except for the one with the Pit scabarite which has only one, and finally one in the final room which also has a staircase.

Step inside the dungeon and prepare to fight a Pit dog, Pit ogre, Pit rock protector, Pit scabarite, Pit black demon, and Pit iron dragon all in a row. If your Defence is weak, pray against melee attacks for the first three rooms. Pray against ranged for the Pit scabarite and melee for the Pit black demon and Pit iron dragon.

After you have defeated all of the monsters, be prepared to face Zenevivia (level 246). Go upstairs, turn on your Protect from Magic prayer and talk to her. She will begin to attack you with Blood barrage spells. Attack her with melee until she teleports to one of the pedestals, where she will constantly summon flames that deal damage over time. Hit her with a Ranged attack, and she will turn on her Protect from Ranged prayer. At this point, switch to your melee weapon. Every time you hit her with a melee attack, she will kick you back and stun you for a few seconds. Note that it is strongly recommended to use a Dragon spear or a Zamorakian spear, as the special will knock her off of the pedestals. You can also use a Dragon halberd to attack her without being knocked back.

When you have defeated her, talk to her and a short cutscene will play where the Wise Old Man and Zenevivia get together again, and you will arrive at Draynor Village. Go inside the Wise Old Man's house and talk to him. Ask him what he will do next, and he will tell you that he and Zenevivia will raid the Wizard's Tower. Go upstairs and view the telescope, and another cutscene will play where they assault the wizards of the tower until Traiborn returns with a "thingummywut," after which they flee.

Head back downstairs and talk to the Wise Old Man about a reward, and the quest is complete!

Note that returning Mabel's ring to Mabel will grant you an experience lamp that gives 10k experience in any one skill over level 60. Cutting the tree with the banker in it at Draynor will reward you with 5,000 coins.
