Part 1:
Receiving the Quest List
Step 1
Talk to Xenia
Talk to Ceril Carnillean
Talk to the Butler
Take Butler to Sewer
To begin the quest head to south west Ardougne to the Carnillean mansion to find Xenia standing outside. She will only appear if you have the required levels and quest points for the quest. She says Sir Ceril wants you to turn his son into a budding young adventurer, she was hired for the job but recommended you instead. Accept the quest and go inside the mansion and speak to Ceril Carnillean.
To turn his son Philipe into an adventurer he wants you to create a quest for him. Conveniently, the cellar wall had just collapsed and opened into a sewer, the perfect place for the quest to be set up. He will give you a list of tasks that he wants Philipe to do. Ceril Carnillean says the butler will be able to help you set up the quest. Speak to him out in the hallway and get him to follow you.
Take him down the ladder into the cellar, and through the hole into the sewer. A cutscene will begin with the butler showing you a list of things to build or set up in the sewer.
Part 2:
Building the props
Step 2
Build cobweb
Search for items around the mansion
Build pool of water
Build bloodstains
Set up the guard patrol
Now it's time to build the props for the quest. Go back to the mansion cellar, and pick up the spider that is running around on the floor. Go over to the sink of the other side of the cellar, and on the floor you'll see a pile of buckets, pick these up, you'll need 7 in total. Search the cellar cupboard which is opposite the ladder and take the shears and some twine.
Go back upstairs, and go to the top floor. Enter the north west room - this is Philipe's - and search his painting set to get some red paint. Enter Sir Ceril's room, which is the eastern room, and search the wardrobe for some armour and a sword. Take the dragon heads off of the wall, and rip the curtains off of the wall in the corner of the room. You'll also need to decide between picking up the necklace on top of the dresser, or the coin bag on the bed. No matter which one you choose you'll be awarded 5k coins.
Enter back down into the cellar and go over to the hole in the wall, right click, and build a cobweb with the spider and the curtain netting. Enter the sewer and walk in until you come to a ledge and an obstacle hot spot. Right click the hotspot and build a pool of water with the seven buckets. Climb over the ledge and further into the sewer and you'll come across another hotspot, right click to build once again, and make some bloodstains with the red paint. Continue on through the cellar, past the guard hotspot, and you'll find another decoration hotspot; build bloodstains again.
You'll see a small goblin camp set up around a fire. Talk to the goblins and ask if they will help you, they want armour in return. Talk to them again and give them the heraldic armour you got from Sir Ceril's wardrobe. When they ask what you want them to do, assign them the job of guard patrol. Once they take off down the sewer to patrol, build a tripwire on the trap hotspot with the twine you got from the cellar cupboard. Continue on east a bit more and you'll see another trap hotspot, build another tripwire here. Cross the tripwire and on the wall is another decoration spot, again, build bloodstains with the red paint.
Part 3:
Volunteers?
Step 3
Lure wolves to the guardian hotspot
Talk to Claus the Chef
Talk to Sarsparilla
Take them to their spots in the sewer
Now that you've built all of the props, it's time to gather volunteers to play the role of drunken guard, damsel in distress, and find some guardians. Head south and then east into a passage in the wall. You'll find yourself in a cave with two wolves. There will also be a mouse scuttling around the floor, grab it and the wolves will be attracted to the smell. Leave the cave and head back the way you came, going north, past the decoration and the drunken guard spot until you see two large dragon hotspots. The mouse will automatically be taken out of your inventory and the wolves will stay put here. Use the two dragon heads you pulled off of the wall earlier, and give them to each of the wolves to disguise them as dragons.
Head back to the mansion cellar; talk to the butler to get back quickly. Once you're back in the cellar talk to Claus the Chef and ask him to be the drunken jailer, he won't pass up an opportunity to drink and happily accepts. Search the cupboard in the cellar for Sir Ceril's wine, as this is the wine the chef will drink later.
Go back upstairs to the top floor and talk to Sarsaparilla. Ask if she'll help with the quest, she seems adamant to, ask once again and the butler will tell you she thinks you are a servant. Ask her then if she's just going to stay here, and then once she's finished speaking ask, "You were talking about your ambitions?". Tell her you're casting for a drama and she'll ask what role it is, tell her it's for damsel in distress. She'll love to play the part.
Take her down to the cellar. Claus the Chef will be waiting for you by the entrance. Speak to him and tell him to follow you, and speak to Sarsparilla once again and tell her to follow, and take them both to their spots in the sewer. If you chose to pick up the coin bag from the bed earlier on, use it on Claus the Chef, so that Philipe can loot it when he does his quest. If you chose to pick up the necklace from the dresser use it on Sarsparilla once she is tied up.
Part 4:
Giving Philipe his quest
Step 4
Speak to Philipe
Search Sarsparilla's wardrobe
Take Philipe through the sewer
Defeat the Cave Wolf Matriarch
Talk to Sir Ceril
Head back to the mansion cellar and to the middle floor and talk to Philipe. He'll be too interested in his sweets to do the quest. So right click and pickpocket them off of him! Speak to him again, and tell him by completing the quest his reward will be his bag of sweets. Go upstairs to Sarsparilla's room and search her wardrobe for a spare dress. Once you have it, get Philipe to follow you and take him down to the cellar. Walk to the ledge and tell him to do it for the sweets and he will cross. Follow around to the guards, he'll suggest killing them instead of sneaking past, but tell him unnecessary killing is wrong.
He'll wait... and wait... and wait for his chance, but it does not come. Speak to Slimepits the goblin. Philipe will cross as you are talking to the goblins. Take him to the tripwire, and you'll give him the shears you got from the cupboard to cut the wire, and the same for the next tripwire
Begin to go north and you'll tell Philipe he'll need a disguise to get past the guard. He'll take the wine and, grudgingly, the dress. A cutscene will begin with Claus the Chef passing out. Go north and pick up Philipe and take him to the "dragons".
When Philipe is fighting the wolves and unexpected visitor will show up. A Cave Wolf Matriarch! Ask Philipe if you can help kill it and he'll ask you to distract the wolf. If you have moderate lifepoints you may need to use some food for this part. Attack the wolf and run when the wolf begins its magical attacks, to avoid being hit by them. The advised method is to run around the wolf in a square or triangle until Philipe kills the wolf. The lower your lifepoints get, the lower the damage you receive. Also, as the fight progress, Philipe will "level up" and his hits will get bigger towards the end of the fight. Philipe cannot die during the fight.
Once Philipe has killed the Cave Wolf Matriarch, talk to him, and when he saves Sarsparilla he will have completed his quest. Return to Sir Ceril, and a cutscene will begin. After the cutscene is finished, talk to Xenia. She'll tell you to return to Sir Ceril (among other things) to claim your reward.
