Part 1:
Getting to the Platform
Step 1
Talk to Caroline.
Fix the boat.
Get to the Platform.
Items needed: Swamp Paste.
Note: Make the paste from mixing swamp tar (in Lumbridge swamp) with flour and using it on a fire. Also, you can buy it from Port Khazard.
Talk to Caroline and she will tell you that she is worried about her husband and son. They have not written back from the fishing platform, and neither have any of the other fishermen. She asks you to help her.
Caroline tells you to talk to Holgart, who can take you to the fishing platform. Holgart says his boat needs fixing, and to fix it he needs swamp paste. Give some to Holgart and he will take you to the fishing platform.
When you arrive at the fishing platform, walk west until you come to a house. Open the door and talk to Bailey who is inside (Picture). Bailey tells you that a man named Kent went for help days ago and that his son is hiding upstairs.
Part 2:
Rescuing Kennith and Kent
Step 2
Find Kennith.
Find Kent.
Rescue Kennith.
Return to Caroline.
Go to the north-east corner of the platform and you will find a ladder; climb it. Then walk west until you find a house. Inside, Kennith is hiding behind some crates. To talk to him, right click on him and click 'talk to' (Picture). Kennith says he won't move until you find his dad.
Walk back to Holgart and talk to him. When you have talked to him you will find yourself on an island with a wrecked rowing boat and Kent. Talk to Kent and he will tell you all that happened. He won't move until you have rescued his son, so return to the platform.
Walk to the north-east corner and try to climb the ladder. The fisherman will push you back down. Go talk to Bailey, and he will tell you the weakness of the Sea Slugs. He gives you a torch but you cannot light it with a tinderbox alone. Instead, pick up the broken glass from inside Bailey's house and then walk to the north-east corner of the platform again. Here pick up some damp sticks. Use the broken glass on the damp sticks to obtain Dry sticks. "Rub" the sticks together and the torch should light.
Now that you have a torch you can climb the ladder. Talk to Kennith, then kick the loose panels on the outside of the building he is in (Picture). Talk to Kennith again, then walk over to the crane and click rotate (Picture). Return to Holgart and go back to the mainland. Talk to Caroline to claim your reward.
