Item: Armour for Low Levels, Energy Enhancing Items (Boots of Lightness, Spotted/Spottier Cape, etc).
Part 1:
The Blue Cog
Step 1
Fill the bucket.
Follow Cedric.
Use the Blue Cog on its Spindle.
Once you have started the quest, go east until you reach Cedric the Monk. Take the bucket there and use it with the well to get a bucket of water.
Go down the ladder just north of Cedric near the Camel exhibit and follow the path around until you reach an odd-looking wall. Push it. Then take the cog and go up the ladder (Picture). You will appear on the south side of the Clock Tower.
Enter the clock tower and go up the spiral staircase to the second floor. Use the Blue Cog on the Blue Spindle.
Part 2:
The Red Cog
Step 2
Go into dungeon.
Get Red Cog.
Use Red Cog on Red Spindle.
Go down the staircase and then the ladder into the dungeon. Follow the path to a central room with a checkered floor.
Go through the south-east door and follow the path around until you reach a room filled with several Ogres. Run past them and pick up the Red Cog. Return to the checkered room, then go up the ladder just south-west of there. Use the Red Cog on the Red Spindle.
Part 3:
The Black Cog
Step 3
Use bucket of water on Black Cog or equip your Ice Gloves.
Take Black Cog.
Use Black Cog on Black Spindle.
Items needed: Bucket of Water or Ice Gloves.
Return to the checkered room, then go through the north-east door. Up ahead is a room full of Giant Spiders. Breeze past them until you reach the far end of the room. The cog is nested on some nasty looking flames.
Use the bucket of water on the Black Cog. It will become cool enough for you to pick up. If you have ice gloves from the Heroes Quest, you can equip those instead of using water. Return to the chamber just south of the checkered room and use the Black Cog on the Black Spindle.
Part 4:
The White Cog
Step 4
Get rat poison.
Pull both lever's.
Use poison on food trough.
Open third gate.
Get White Cog and use it on the White Spindle.
Talk to Brother Kojo.
Head through the last door in the checkered room, the north-west door. Pick up the rat poison a little north-west of the door. Go east on the path until you reach two levers. While looking at the wall straight on, pull them to open up the rat cage. Turn the corner and pass through the first two gates. You will be in a room with dungeon rats (level-12) and a food trough.
Use the rat poison on the food trough. The rats will panic after eating the poisoned food and start running into the third gate. You can now open it. Pick up the White Cog, and take the ladder up. You will be just outside the clock tower.
Enter the clock tower and go up the staircase to the top floor. Use the White Cog on the White Spindle. Talk to Brother Kojo for your reward.
