Part 1:
The Outpost
Step 1
Talk to Jorral, NW of Ardougne.
To start the quest, teleport to Ardougne and walk west along the northern wall of West Ardougne. Keep walking until you find Jorral in the small building just after the wall turns inwards, before the entrance to the path leading to Isafdar.
Talk to Jorral, and he will tell you about the history of the building he lives in. He doesn't know what the history of the building is, and asks for your help. Your job is to uncover the history of the building, and convince King Lathas to leave it alone.
You will now see a cut-scene. Jorral wishes to turn the outpost into a museum, as a monument to the area's history. Pick the first option in the next screen. He will tell you about three people who would be able to help you: the silver merchant in Ardougne, a ghost in Port Phasmatys, and a warrior in Rellekka.
Part 2:
Uncovering History
Step 2
Talk to the Silver Merchant, Ardougne Square.
Use your enchanted key to find a chest north of Castle Wars.
Items Needed: Spade.
Go to the Silver Merchant in Ardougne square and talk to him. Ask him about the outpost, and you will tell him about doing some research for Jorral (Picture). He will give you an enchanted key, and tell you that it might fit a chest.
If you brought a Ring of Duelling, teleport to Castle Wars. Otherwise, make the long trek south from Ardougne. Head to the bridge north of the Castle Wars entrance. When you reach the correct area, feel your key. If it is "Very Hot" or "Burning Hot," the treasure is close by. Walk around and feel your key, until it becomes "Steaming." Dig with your spade and you will find a chest (Picture). Use your enchanted key on the chest, and take the journal inside. Keep the journal with you until the end of the quest.
Step 3
Talk to Droalak, at Port Phasmatys
Talk to Melina, in house west of the furnace. Give her Sapphire amulet.
Items needed: Sapphire Amulet, Ghostspeak Amulet.
Go to Port Phasmatys next (use your Ectophial to teleport to the Ectofuntus, and walk to Port Phasmatys from there). If you don't have any ecto-tokens then you may charter a ship inside the city as well. Once you arrive, walk south of the entrance to the General Store (Picture). You will see Droalak there. Talk to him, and you will ask about the outpost north of Ardougne. He says he has a scroll that outlines the timeline of the outpost, but asks you to tie up a problem before he gives it to you. (Picture)
Go to the house west of the furnace, and talk to Melina (Picture). You will automatically give her the sapphire amulet, and she will be delighted (Picture). Go back to Droalak and tell him Melina forgave him. He will happily give you the scroll. Hold on to the scroll, as well as the journal (Picture).
Step 4
Talk to Blanin, in eastern Rellekka.
Talk to Dron, north of Battle Gear shop.
Do not say you talked to Blanin.
Your final destination is Rellekka. You can teleport here with an enchated Lyre, or teleport to Camelot and walk north. You must speak to a Fremennik by the name of Blanin (Picture), who is found on the eastern side of the province. He will blab on about how secretive his brother Dron is, and gives you the answers to a few questions that Dron will ask you:
- He wields an iron mace in battle.
- He eats rats for breakfast.
- He eats kittens for lunch.
- He eats bunnies for tea.
- His favourite drink is red spider blood.
- He is 36 years, 8 months, and 21 days old.
- He studies famous battles of the Fourth and Fifth ages.
- He lives on the north-east side of the town.
- His brother's name is Blanin.
- He has a pet cat named Fluffy.
- Five plus seven is twelve.
Speak to Dron who is just north of Skulgrimen's Battle Gear (Picture). Do not tell him you spoke with his brother; tell him "Why, you're the famous warrior Dron!" He will ask you a variety of questions, and all you have to do is answer according to those listed above. If you answer all the questions correctly, he will answer any questions you have for him (Picture). Upon hearing your question, he tells you of a battle that took place at the outpost many years ago. He says two best friends became divided when one went to Zamorak and one went to Saradomin. They eventually came together under Guthix; one of whom decided to become King of Ardougne - King Lathas' great grandfather.
Part 3:
Convincing the King
Step 5
Talk to Jorral, at Outpost.
Talk to King Lathas.
Return to Jorral to complete quest.
Report to Jorral (you can teleport to Ardougne, or walk) and tell him what you learned. He will put the information together and tell you a story ... the true history of the outpost.
He will then write down the details you gave him, and make it easier to understand. Your job is to deliver a letter to the King of Ardougne.
Head to the Ardougne Castle and talk to King Lathas. He is astonished at how much value the outpost has (Picture). He will agree to Jorral's request to convert it into a museum, and give you a letter to take back to Jorral.
Return to Jorral and talk to him. He will be very thankful for your help. After your conversation, the outpost will turn into a museum. If you want, you can go back to see Droalak and he'll finally move on to the next world, however that is not necessary to complete the quest.

A: Talk to the Silver Merchant and he will tell you about treasure buried in random places around RuneScape. Walk around until it says "The key is steaming. It must be right below your feet", then dig with a spade and you will find a chest. See our Treasure Hunting guide for help.
