Q: What is Ventrilo? What is this?
A: Ventrilo is a voice-chat program. It has various chat-rooms available to you once you get on our server.

Q: I have microphone problems, what should I do?
A: When using Ventrilo for the first time, test out your microphone first to make sure you aren't creating any static noise, as this can be very annoying for the other people in the channel. Try opening sound recorder (Accessories>Entertainment) and recording something. Replay what you recorded and if there's static, check that your microphone isn't too close to your speakers and your microphone volume isn't too high.

Q: How do I get Ventrilo?
A: Click here. Scroll down, and click the first 'Download' button on the right.

Q: Do I need a mic or headset?
A: Yes. It's all voice-chat. I use a headset, much easier than a mic+speakers.

Q: What good is this? Why can't I just use MSN?
A: Suppose you're going PKing with your friends, or you've got a clan war. Fast communication is very important. You don't have time to switch between MSN - or even move your hands off the mouse to type in Runescape chat. Keep your mouse in your hand, and use a headset to voice-chat with your clan. Many many many people use Ventrilo (aka. "Vent") in hardcore PKing games like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Since PKing and Clan wars are getting pretty serious in Runescape, I thought it'd be a good idea to provide you guys with a Ventrilo server.

Q: Do I have to be PKing or Clanning to use this?
A: Nope, just come on and have a chat. There are lots of 'sections' for everything, even questing and partying.

Q: What is the capacity?
A: Right now, it's 70 max people. But if you guys need more, I'll increase the capacity as needed.

Q: We're having a clan war, will other people disturb us?
A: There are lots of 'sections' (rooms) you can join (for example, "PKing Group 3" room, whatever's empty).

Q: Do I need a password for this?
A: Nope, just leave the password box empty when you join the server.
